Q: well it seems like press on nails are a lot more affordable and easier to take off. like KISS and Nailene seem good. they are only around $5 and you change them every 2 weeks, wheras acrylics are like $20 and you need to fill them every two weaks and they are harsh on nails.so do you girls think i can do my press on nails on monday, and two weeks from now, on monday take them off and put on a new pair? or should i wait a day? can it work like that?can you reuse them?is this cheaper and better for nails than acrylic?
Press on nails hardly ever last longer than a few days. Yes, they are better on your nails than acrylic. Acrylic uses a primer and nail dehydrator, which makes your real nails very brittle. Gel nails, on the other hand, need touch ups less than acrylics, use no dehydrator, and cost about the same. Check into those if you are looking for long term wear.
Q: Should I use pressed powder or loose powder to set my concealer?I was thinking of going for Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder - Transparent.I need it to be as invisible as possible because I'm a guy lol
It doesn't matter which you use. All of them will appear the same. Loose powder is exactly that, loose powder. The powder doesn't stick together. Compact and pressed powder are the same thing, it just means that all the powder has been pressed together so it stays in the container.
Q: Hi. Every time i boot up my computer i get a message saying my CPU fan has failed, system shut down to prevent further damage.. press F2 to continue.when i press F2 it boots up just fine. i was wondering if its bad to continuously press F2 every time i boot my computer
Change your CPU fan that cool the CPU. When heats up it reboots.
Q: i am an older female (56) and need to be able to bench press 75 pounds. I do not have a gym membership, and wonder if I can start to accomplish this with dumbells and if so how
Just do dumbbell press.... It can work same muscles as bench press. Only difference is that weight in both of your arms are not connected with bar...
Q: WHEN I PUT THE COOKIES ON THE PAN AND THE COOKIE DOUGH COMES OUT ITS HARD TO DETACH THE COOKIE DOUGH FROM THE COOKIE PRESS. AND ALSO WHEN THE COOKIES WERE COOKED THE SHAPE DISAPPEARED HOW CAN I SOLVE THIS? ILL REWARD THE BEST ANSWER 10 POINTS! THANKS :)
The okorder Shortbread Cookies 2 Ingredients 2 cups butter, softened 1 cup white sugar 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 4 cups all-purpose flour Directions 1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). 2.Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Stir in vanilla; add flour and mix well. 3.Put through cookie press and form cookies onto baking sheets. Bake for 10 - 12 minutes. The fact that your cookies lose shape while baking could mean that too much dough came out of the cookie press or the amount of butter or margarine in the recipe was too much in relation to the amount of flour. Keep trying and when you find the perfect recipe combination, make that dough all the time.
Q: The Lombards press carrots by hand to make carrot juice. One fourth of the juice is extracted from the first pressing. Each subsequent pressing extracts one fourth of the remaining juice from the carrots. How many times will the carrots need to be pressed to extract at least two-thirds of the juice?
first press: 1/4 second press: 3/4* 1/4 = 3/16 third press: (3/4)^2* 1/4 = 3/4^3 then 1/4 + 3/4^2 + 3/4^3 + ... + 3/4^n 2/3 3/4^2 + ... + 3/4^n 5/12 1/4^2 + ... + 1/4^n 5/36 [1/16 - 1/4^(n+1)]/(3/4) 5/36 1/16 - 1/4^(n+1) 5/48 at this time ... no value of n will satisfy... 3/4^2 + 3/4^3 + ... + 3/4^n ... as n goes to infinity .. . . yields 1/4 adding the first value, 1/4 .. . .. . this adds up to at most 1/2 and thus will not yield the desired 2/3 level.
Q: just some ideas, and what are some things that we can do in america that are simple things involving freedom of press but you cant do in other countries or you'll be punished. THANXXXXXXX soooo much
Freedom of press applies to no government intervention or control. The crap part about it, is that it turns into a liberal love-fest and becomes nothing more than biased liberal opinions instead of objective reporting.
Q: Hi everyone,I am making a baby blanket. It is a crochet pattern. the very end of the pattern says finger press moons and stars to lay flat. Does anyone know what that means?
It just means press them down with your fingers (as opposed to pressing them with an iron). If it doesn't work when the crochet is dry, you might have to wet it first, and block it with your fingers. That means to lay it out and pin it to the pattern measurements, and press down all shapes to lie flat.
Q: Ok, so I got my hands on a 1920-1930s Phonola record player and I have some records that came with it, the music in them is really really outdated but cool. But I would like to create some records of my own. Any ideas on how to press, and record audio in them
The process for making a vinyl recording starts with cutting tracks into a blank vinyl disk. This is done with a special machine using a diamond stylus attached to a turntable. These days, you're looking at thousands of dollars for a vinyl cutting machine. Once the master is made, you would make copies by pressing them...this isn't something you would need to do. Even if you have the $10k for a Vestax VRX-2000 machine to cut the masters, it only records on slower speeds.....your antique most likely plays on 78 rpm. Back in the 1950's, before tape recorders had become widely available, there were home record makers. These never caught on in a big way, but at least they were affordable. If you watch eBay, you may be able to find one. Be warned, the quality of these recordings was poor.....but I don't imagine your Phonola is exactly hi-fi. As a practical matter, I'd advise you to enjoy your existing recordings for what they are: a piece of musical and social history. Excellent music exists beyond our present day tastes, and you have some of it. If you absolutely need to hear modern music on vinyl, your cheapest route will be to purchase a modern turntable.
Q: Lately i have been doing a lot of..Incline benchingDecline benchingBench PressingI want to know which of these makes which part of your chest bigger. Thanks!
put the finishing touch on your pec regimen. do dips. using the handles mounted on the back of some benches or on parallel bars, dips take all the bench work and define it with crisp cleavage and lift. dips may look like an arm and shoulder exercise, but it gives the core and pecs of a gymnast, which looks more powerful and natural than a weightlifter's physique.
