- Q:I have a ton of CAT5e RJ45 connectors I would like to crimp onto CAT6 cable - TECHNICALLY they are not CAT6 but do not see much of a difference. I have done a few already with no prbs but have many more to do and don't want to have to redo them. My CAT6 is SOLID and the connectors are for solid and not stranded.
- RJ45 is RJ45. The cable is different, the connectors are the same. (Some places sell CAT6 connectors for a premium. Some people also sell Roleks watches. The unwary buy both of them.)

- 7xxx series used a Sata connector for both the Optical drives and the hard drives. I used to repair them for Geek Squad's regional service center called Geek Squad City. You'll need to buy Acers BDROM drive though, since the faceplate brackets on most laptop optical drives are proprietary.

- Q:Before everyone tells me I'm crazyMy sub-woofer accepts only a vga 9 pin connector as an input. I know that VGA has nothing to do with audio but this is the connection that creative labs decided to use on this sub to work with the control unit. Now I don't want to use this control unitI want to use it with my home theater receive because this sub is actually quite good. What I'm looking for is a vga to digital audio coaxial converter. Do these animals even exist or do I need to figure out what each pin does and make my own. Any links would beumhelpful.
- The connector is called a Mini-D connector and is used for lots of applications, not just VGA. The beauty of it is that it can only connect 1 way. You cannot use your home theater receiver with the Creative unit. The sub includes a power amplifier and crossover circuits to take the line-level signals from the control unit, fed from 3.5mm headphone jacks on a sound card and it then powers the sub and the external speakers. This is a closed system without the ability to swap parts out or use it with other gear. You CAN find coaxial-digital to left/right analog converters on Amazon for about $50. Then if you can figure out which pins - you can hook into the 9 pin connector on the sub and it MIGHT work. (Cut the end off a pair of RCA cables and strip back the shield and white insulation to expose the center wire. This is what you insert into the D connector. The trick - finding out which pin. The other trick - you have bypassed the volume control.) In general - computer speakers and home theater gear do not mix. They have different inputs, make different assumptions about the signals and fill different size requirements. (Yes - I have seen the picture of the happy, smiling guys around a HDTV with the computer speakers. Creative/Logitech love you to do this - because you burn the speakers out very quickly trying to be room-fillers.)
- Q:I have a 95 Buick Century that gets a bad vibration when the TCC engages. This vibration goes away if the car downshifts to accelerate or coasts. I already replaced the CV axles as it was suggested originally that they may have been responsible but now it's looking like the TCC is bad. I'm looking for the electrical connector that goes to it to see if the problem goes away with the TCC disabled.
- The connector is usually just above the pan on the transmission. A 95 likely has an E series transmission which means that the same connector will also have the other transmission controls in it. If you remove that connector the transmission will stick in 2nd gear and your engine wont run correctly because the computer thinks the transmission died.

- no. the gb micro has a different connector cord for everything. you cant use any cords on it that worked for the original gba or gba sp because the gba micro is much smaller than either one of the first two gba models. dont get it. its not worth it. gba micro is not worth your money at all.
