- Q: If GeForce GTX 460 has a 160 W TDP could'nt the PCI Express 2.0 supply the 75 W and one 6-pin give another 75 W be enought. Ok si 75 + 75 does'nt give 160 W but if the GPU is supplyed only with one 6-pin should'nt that be enough for most of peak in games ?
- I doubt what you propose will work. Its not just voltage/wattage is amperage as well. True the PCIe slot supplies 75W but is no near enough for the 460. The PSU is made to supply the Wattage but because of certain constraints cant produce all the necessary amperage through the thin trace leads on a mother board, thus the need for the 2, 6 pin connectors. that can supply all the necessary wattage/amperage. Keep in mind some boards also have an AUX 12V connector in 4, 6, or 8 pin that also adds power through the trace leads. I really don't think you can find a PSU that would fit in a 5.25 that could produce enough power for your needs.Wouldn't it just be easier to get a PSU that can deliver the power that the 460 demands? doing it your way is like lowering the river instead of raising the draw bridge! it would achieve the same goal but the effort and expense wouldn't be worth it!

- Q: Hi! Does anyone know how to connect such dance mat to a laptop. The Mat uses 2 connectors, i.e. PS/2 F and PS/2 M. In order to be able to use it in my laptop, i use 2 connectors, i.e. PS/2 F to USB A M and PS/2 M to USB A F (and accordingly connect the end point of USB A F to another USB A M), and connected the 2 cables to my laptop, but the latter failed to recognize the devices. Any suggestion? Thanks
- The problem is 2 foldfirst it is setup to be connected through the ps/2 connection not usb, so if you only have a usb connection then you'll need the specific convertor and drivers for the dance mat as it is typically setup as a replacement for the keyboard, or at least thats the connector it uses on a pc.your laptop has the keyboard embedded into it so you'll need to setup the laptop to use the external keyboard which is in reality the dancepad.the connectors are not really the issue but if you want simplicity, just go with the specific convertor for it, if the connectors you have seem to work but the laptop isn't recognizing it then you'll have to play with the settings and also check for the latest drivers.

- Wireless connector? It's wireless! What it sounds like is you want to connect to your router via a wired connector so use the Ethernet jack. Or you are asking about the connector for an antenna. They have those connections on add-on adapters for desktops but not for laptops.

- The answer to this question can actually fills books, as you are talking about the architecture of Data Processing Machines However, in brief, the processor is attached by pins to the motherboard, which contains the resources like RAM and connections to the secondary memory and other devices. The process starts when you boot up the system. The machine wakes up and starts loading BIOS, stored in a special chip called CMOS. The BIOS initializes the basic devices, such as Keyboard, Screen, Drives, Ports etc. and then searches for the Operating System at a particular location (usually the boot sector of your hard drive). The drive starts rotating and loading the code in RAM, and executing instructions. When the process completes, you have a boot up PC. On the hardware side, its all about current and voltages. The processor can only distinguish if a particular voltage is present in a particular wire or not. That forms the basis of the binary nature of system. The processor reads the memory through the connectors to the mother board, by sending signal to the RAM and recieving the response. In that response, it can distinguish which pins are active passing current and which are dormant. As we know that computers use 8 such on and off signals to form one number, each of these on and off conditions are called bits, and the collection of 8 bits is a byte. So, when processor recieves one byte, it can know if this byte is a peice of CODE that is an executeable instruction or a peice of DATA. And this it knows because CODE and DATA are loaded in separate parts of RAM. If its a peice of CODE the processor executes it, i.e. passing it through it circuitary to peform the logical operation required, or in some cases, executing multiple instructions in the response, which are called Micro Code that is programed in the processor. I know it s kinda complex, but that s how it works.

- it is normally called an RCA, but to be more precise and specific it is called a subwoofer cable. a normal RCA cable doesn't normally include a y-splitter, but an RCA Subwoofer cable usually comes with it. bestbuy, walmart, radioshack have them.
- Q: I am trying to use a crimp on connect with RG6 cable, but when I strip the shielding back I cannot get it to go into the connector very well. How much should I strip oh each. It said on the tool about 1/4 in for the copper and 1/4 in more for the shielding. I have tried this but I cannot get the shield into the connector, and I cannot get the copper exposed far enough.
- There are actually a range of diameter sizes for coax cable. As was said - you may be using RG59 connectors. Try to find a 'real' electronics store and take a cut piece of coax in with you so you can find the right connector. Companies like Belden have a connector-cross reference to help you get the right connectors. Also - Radio Shack sells a nice $5 T handle which you screw the connector onto so you can push the connector into the coax with a lot more force/ease.
