- Q: HiMotherboard: Asus P5KCCase: NZXT Alpha My problem is the PWR LED connector, as the connector wire from the case is ( .l.l.), however the Mobo slot for it is (.ll.), with a blank in the middle. how would i make it fit and can i just leave it out?
- Ok, I have had this before, here is what you do You get a pair of needle nose pliers and you CAREFULLY break that connector into two pieces (two black plastic pieces). If you have two needle nose pliars, you can hold on to half of the black plastic connector while you snap the other half off with the second pair. I have had to do this a couple of times in building computers, no big deal. Just be careful to snap it IN HALFits not that difficult IF you are careful about it. The two connectors can then be put into their rightful pins. Just make sure you have the + and the - on the right pins.
- Q: I have a 1997 Toyota Previa. I failed a smog check and the mechanic gave this reason: timing connector doesn't ground for ignition timing to be checked. He said the Check Engine Light is supposed to come on when the connector is grounded, but it doesn't.Where/what is this timing connector, and does this have anything to do with the OBD-II connector under the driver's seat?
- The OBD2 connector is technically called the DLC or Data Link Connector. Timing Connector does not make any sense to me, unless perhaps it is the wiring clip leading to any one of the sensors that check timing. Do you have a check engine light on? Did he give you a specific OBD2 code? More useful than naming a connector would be the actual connector number that you could look up on a wiring diagram. I will give you one warning, though - if you are in CA I am trained on 49 state emissions and not CA emissions. There are a couple connectors that we just don't use over here on the East Coast and we only see CA emissions vehicles in the shop once in a blue moon, so when we do, we hit Alldata, Mitchell On Demand or the like. I am certified in PA emissions and I spoke to the MD emissions office when I moved and they didn't pay enough, but my cert would have transfered. We either do the treadmill test or plug to the DLC and test the gas cap depending on the year and inspect the components for tampering. We don't ground any sensors, which is another reason that just doesn't make sense to me.
- Q: Basically what i want to know is that does A dvi to Vga connector do this: You pklug the dvi half into the graphics card's dvi slot and the monitor goes in the Vga slot ORThe VgA side goes into the Graphics card's VGA slot and your DVI monitor goes into the DVI slotHelp
- If your graphics card output is VGA and monitor is DVI then configure the connection. It does not matter what sequence the connectors areas long as it's connected it's OK.
- Q: a.to restrict a search by excluding results that include a particular termb.to broaden a search by including synonyms or related termsc.to search several diffrent databases simultaneouslyd.to narrow a search by adding another conceptmy answer is D
- The correct answer is B. The boolean OR connector expands a search by allowing multiple search conditions to be true. For example, I want to find a shirt that is blue OR green. To narrow a search you would use the AND connector which means that multiple conditions MUST be true to satisfy the criteria. For example, I want to find a shirt that is blue AND green. Obviously no results would be returned for this search since an object cannot be two colors at once.
- Q: I have an 2001 oldsmobile intrigue and I just took the door panel off and I couldn't replace the door speakers because I did not have speaker connectors on my new door speakers. If I take them to best buy to install will they put speaker connectors on my new speakers or will they just solder the wire to the speaker? I want speaker connectors so I don't have to re wire every time I have a window issue.
- Yes but you can just buy the speaker connectors yourself. Sounds like you already took the door panels off. Best Buy will charge for the connectors and the install You can buy these just about anywhere especially for Oldsmobile which is GM for about $10-12. What do you mean rewire every time you have a window issue? Price if you take it to best buy will be about $60. This is assuming you just installing regular coaxials.
- Q: At 437 MHz, which connector shall be the most suitable for use from among the following:1. BNC Connector2. Type-C Connector3. Type-N Connector4. TNC Connector5. SMA Connector6. APC-7 Precision ConnectorPlease keep in mind that my desired frequency is 437 MHz only, while most of them work even in Microwave region. So, I need to consider only those properties of these cables which are beneficial at around 437 MHz, say upto 1-1.5 GHz.Like APC-7 shows very little reflection even at very high microwave frequencies. However Type-N also gives pretty good performance at 437 MHz. So, which one should I go for- Type N or APC-7 at 437 MHz?Taking cue from the above example, kindly tell me the best connector from the ones mentioned above with concise reasoning(no need for detailed explanation!). Please consider the maximum properties possibleALSO IF THERE IS SOME CONNECTOR WHICH PERFORMS BETTER THAN THE ONES MENTIONED ABOVE, THEN PLEASE TYPE IT IN YOUR ANSWER.I will be extremely grateful to all those who answer.:)
- I personally would use N type. They are more able to keep water out, in an outdoor situation.
- Q: antec 900 case fans have molex connectors- apparently they do not connect directly to the motherboard. I see two cables comming out of the psu that could connect to the fans, but IDK which one to use. One of the cables is labled P7 and the other is labled P11.
- Its frustrating to assert.yet whilst your followers are purely 2-cord to the molex they have no sensor for the third cord administration lead so as that doesn't artworkthen in the event that they did have the third lead it could have contain the three prong plug so which you're able to plug it directly to the mummy boardadditionally the mummy board can purely take sensing from one fan so the 2nd could confuse the sign. greater helpful to have followers that have the ideal plugsthe rear fan will artwork with the adapterwhy not use the Antec followers that got here with the caseyou payed for them?
- Q: I bought Nintendo's Wi-Fi USB connector on Tuesday, hooked it up, worked great, I was sending messages to my friends and all. Wednesday night the wii stopped responding to it, so I uninstalled, reinstalled, went through A LOT of internet connection sharing issues, and now I've finally got the software to reinstall right but the wii is not responding to the registration tool.It says to grant the wii permission to connect through the Wi-Fi connection tool. I have done this, and the wii doesn't respond to it.Note: this isn't the first time installing it. it worked fine on tuesday :#92;Does anyone have a fix for me? :(
- I suspect another device installed in your house/neighborhood is interfering with the connection. -- Make sure a radio line of sight is available for your device: between your Wii and PC, get as many radio emitting or electronic products OUT OF THE WAY. Unplug them, move them to somewhere else, etc. If there's something new (not referring to your PC but anything electronic) you bought and installed in your house on the day you lost the connection, that device would be suspect. Take it out and see if you get the connection back. -- If that doesn't work, perhaps one of your neighbors installed a Wi-Fi network or device and is using the same channel as you. Most people's networks don't have the same SSID or password, but can still interfere with the correct channel or radio frequency. Try switching channels. Wii's instruction manual suggests channel 1 or 11, but in my old house, I had my Wii running with my Wi-Fi router on Channel 3 since everyone else was using both channels 1 and 11. Check the manual for the USB Wi-Fi Connector and see if you can change to a different channel. TRY ALL OF THEM, but 1, 6 and 11 seem to have the best chance of success, since they use completely different radio frequencies (instead of 2-5 and 7-10 which use sidebands of the same frequency.) -- Get it closer to the Wii. If your Wii is in the living room and the PC in the bedroom, consider moving the Wii to the bedroom too. WiFi involves a lot of trial and error not to mention patience. If you aren't familiar with networking and know of a neighborhood-friendly PC nerd, you'd do best to utilize their expertise at this time.
- Q: Assume you start with a 12 inch piece of 16guage stranded automotive wire for each connector test. You then check continuity and resistance for the wire. Then you cut the 12 inch piece of wire in half and try reconnecting one end of each wire with following methods.1) Soldered ends together2) male/female spade connector3) ring terminal bolt ring terminal4) twisted ends together w/ twist capThen you check continuity and resistance for each different type of connector. How can you tell if you have connected the two wires properly? i.e. soldered correctly, or crimped the spade connectors snug enough, or twisted the ends properly or tight enough? How do you do this with a multimeter?
- set your multimeter to the ohms position. If you have good continuity the meter should almost zero, if there is a bad connection the meter will read infinite.
- Q: I have an Asus Revenge III motherboard with only one USB 2.0 connection but my case has two sets of USB 2.0 cables so I can only connect one side of the front USB ports. Is there a y-splitter available to connect the two cables from the case into one connector allowing me to use all my USB 2.0 ports with the one connection on my motherboard? Also I have a couple of front USB 3.0 connectors on my case but the motherboard doesn't have an internal connector for USB 3.0, just USB 3.0 on the back. Is there a way to connect these to the USB 3.0 without having to buy another USB 3.0 controller card in order to have an internal USB 3.0 connection?
- Wow - It sounds like this case motherboard don't really match well. USB - any version cannot be effectively split with a Y or similar stuff. You can use extension cables (as short as possible), powered extensions, and hubs (passive or powered). Inside the case, not practical. You have one internal connector. If you try to connect more than one device, you need a hub ( or a new internal card) to manage multiple devices. If you have an external USB 3.0 port that works, attached to the MoBo - but it faces the back. you -might- be able to hack together a wire adapter that connects that to the front connector on your case. Again- 1-to-1, but I wouldn't try it myself unless I was ready to deal with a fried circuit. If you really want to get the best use out of these, either get an external hub/s, or add internal card/s. There are mixed USB 2.0+3.0 hubs available. That would need to plug into the single USB 3.0 jack you have.
