- Q: I have a house pre-wired with coax cable for the purpose of distributing audio speakers around the house, but I cannot find a connector or adapter that splits the coax cable into the +/- wires so that I can connect the speakers
- While an adapter to convert the coax into a +/- connector exists, I would not assume that the coax was installed for speakers. I would assume it was installed for television reception. Where does the coax run between? Does it come from a common point and run to various rooms. If so, I would say that this would be for TV. The common point would be the feed from the cable or satellite company. For speaker use, there would have to be 2 coax to each room, for left and right speakers. The link below shows a coax adapter to seperate wires.
- Q: I recently got a new HP Pavilion computer with Windows Vista, and for some reason, there is no wireless connector in the back of the Pavilion to connect with the wireless router. My old computer had one, but this one dosen't seem to have any round port to fit it Does anyone know what's wrong?
- Your probably going to have to install a Wireless NIC for that computer. Not all computer come with wireless connectors.
- Q: Cooler Master Cosmos s case Asus P5LP-LE motherboard from HP media center PC
- Are you using a sound card or integrated audio? - because if you are using a sound card and your front audio ports don't plug into your sound card, then I would assume that's your problem. If you went cheap like I did, your card probably won't have a connector for the front panel audio. In this case, you could (1) get a new, cooler sound card or (2) do what I did and go to Walmart and get a headphone extension cord that would allow you to extend your sound card's audio port to a strategic location on your case or in a desk drawer where you could easily switch between speakers and headphones. I hope I was able to help :-) PS: If you aren't using a dedicated sound card, but instead you are using integrated sound, then I'm not sure I can give you advice beyond what you've probably already tried. Just in case, make sure that your front panel is connected properly and that your on-board audio is activated in the BIOS; and I guess you could always mess around with the settings in the OS - there's usually something about headphone detection somewhere in the audio properties/menu.
- Q: i wanna know if a 4gb ipod connector transfer songs to a 8bg ipod toch
- All iPod connectors use the same type of connection and therefore work on all iPods. Of course it will.
- Q: I know its by connecting to a metal part of the car but how do u do that? By screwing it or attaching it with some type of adhesive?
- screw it into the sheet metal
- Q: alrghitey so why does my nintendo wifi usb connector when i plug it in goes all crazy? its like if it was loose or something, it my windows vista comp when i plug the connector in it say its installing the software and then it says that the connector isnt connected but it is. so what should i do? that goes on repeadetaly. so what should i do?
- alright dude. try a different usb port. if you didn't download and install the software for it, do that too. if those don't work, try the site below and go to customer service and type in the search, Nintendo WI-fi usb connector. If you're still having trouble, go to contact us at the bottom and go to the WI-fi trouble phone number and call them. I'm pretty sure that this should work.
- Q: I need to convert my satellite input that is a coaxial cable to an RCA cable without using a VCR or DVD player or any other component. I need more than just a connector that turns it into one male RCA. I need the coaxial connection to convert to both video and audio. Any suggestions on how to do this?
- You need a brain first.
- Q: I have tried to connect my wii to the internet by using a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB connector but whenever i try to instal the cd for it i get You are using an incompatible operating system version wat does that mean? i am trying to install it on a new labtop PLEASE HELP ME!
- ok you say you have a new laptop does that mean you have windows vista as your operating system? The USB wi-fi connector initially only was supported by windows XPthere are drivers for vista that you can downloaddo soome googling around for them and see if it still doesnt work after you install them I don't understand the point of this accessoryis it for people w/out wi-fi routers? because the wii has a built in wi-fi antenna
- Q: I bought Nintendo's Wi-Fi USB connector on Tuesday, hooked it up, worked great, I was sending messages to my friends and all. Wednesday night the wii stopped responding to it, so I uninstalled, reinstalled, went through A LOT of internet connection sharing issues, and now I've finally got the software to reinstall right but the wii is not responding to the registration tool.It says to grant the wii permission to connect through the Wi-Fi connection tool. I have done this, and the wii doesn't respond to it.Note: this isn't the first time installing it. it worked fine on tuesday :#92;Does anyone have a fix for me? :(
- I suspect another device installed in your house/neighborhood is interfering with the connection. -- Make sure a radio line of sight is available for your device: between your Wii and PC, get as many radio emitting or electronic products OUT OF THE WAY. Unplug them, move them to somewhere else, etc. If there's something new (not referring to your PC but anything electronic) you bought and installed in your house on the day you lost the connection, that device would be suspect. Take it out and see if you get the connection back. -- If that doesn't work, perhaps one of your neighbors installed a Wi-Fi network or device and is using the same channel as you. Most people's networks don't have the same SSID or password, but can still interfere with the correct channel or radio frequency. Try switching channels. Wii's instruction manual suggests channel 1 or 11, but in my old house, I had my Wii running with my Wi-Fi router on Channel 3 since everyone else was using both channels 1 and 11. Check the manual for the USB Wi-Fi Connector and see if you can change to a different channel. TRY ALL OF THEM, but 1, 6 and 11 seem to have the best chance of success, since they use completely different radio frequencies (instead of 2-5 and 7-10 which use sidebands of the same frequency.) -- Get it closer to the Wii. If your Wii is in the living room and the PC in the bedroom, consider moving the Wii to the bedroom too. WiFi involves a lot of trial and error not to mention patience. If you aren't familiar with networking and know of a neighborhood-friendly PC nerd, you'd do best to utilize their expertise at this time.
- Q: i have 600 watt psu with a 6pin and 8pinmotherboard connector while gtx 580 requires a 6pin and a 8pin gpu connectorhow can i use my 8 pin motherboard connector as 8 pin gpu connector.plus i have a two 6pin to gpu 8pin connector.
- Do NOT try to use that plug in a GPU that is CPU supplemental power and you are looking for PCI supplemental power. Your card should have come with some 4pin Molex adapters as well you can use those or use the 2 6 pin-to 8 pin adapters. Otherwise upgrade your PSU. The types of power coming from those 2 cables are not the same do NOT plug in your 8 pin CPU connector on a GPU.
