Q: I have a large electric grill, the plates that cook food don't heat up properly, someone seems to have pulled on the cord causing one of the connectors that connects to the plate thermostat to come loose. It appears to have been forcefully melded with the thermostat, which I can't duplicate.

Q: I have a Dell Pentium 4 with Windows XP. I bought a Wireless USB connector so that I could access our wireless network. When I plug in the flash drive it does not come up with an icon on the toolbar as it said it should in the manual. What do you think is the error? Somebody suggested that I download Windows Service pack 2? Please help.
First reinstall whatever software you may need with it. Then try the adaptor in a different USB connector. If it does not come up then try wiggling the adaptor in the USB socket, I have a USB drive that required me to do this before it is seen by my PC. At that point you may get some feed back or not, if the computer still does not see the adaptor I would say it is a hardware issue with the device; return it and get a new one.
Q: I found a Power Supply for my PC making sure I know everything about the specs. Thanks in advance!
+1 Eyecue is right, PCI connectors are the long slots where old video cards (newer ones are either AGB or PCI Express) and almost any other kind of cards go. The PSU doesnt enter here; you only need to know what power (watts) you need and if you want a hi
Q: I have a 20 pin connector that connects to the motherboard and then I have a 4 pin (square) connector that connects to the motherboard. What does the 4 pin connector power. I'm trying to see if the PSU is any good. I have another PSU but it does not have the square 4 pin connector on it.from older unit and was going to see if I could try it out to power unit.
The 4-pin 12V ATX power connector (yellow and black wires) powers the processor on more recent motherboards. These motherboards will not boot if there is no power on that 4-pin connector. Processor will not power up. Old processors consumed less power. They were just powered from the +5V circuit on motherboard. Thus, old motherboards as well as old power supplies did not have the 4-pin 12V ATX power connector. Motherboards for newer high wattage processors (125-135W) usually have the 8-pin EPS 12V connector.
Q: Because I'm planning to buy a High-end GPU and of course we should put extra power coming from the PSU. Anyways. Last time I check inside my Computer, the PSU has one remaining connector slot. It looks like a small long rectangular shape and has like holes or spikes maybe 4 to 6. Is that the connector from the GPU? Please help! I'm not much of a pro to disconnect all the cables from the PSU and put them back together. I can only put a GPU and a processor.
There are two, one from the motherboard, which is already plugged in. The other one should be for your graphics card. But if you only have 4, then it won't be enough for a high end graphics card. Since they take 6 to 8 or more.
Q: Hi ,I have recently bought a Philips HTS 3105 Home theater system which works great. But I am unable to find an FM antenna with the correct 'connector' for my system. It's outer dia is same as that of the normal TV coaxial RF connector , and the center pin has a hole in it.Sorry for being crude, but i don't know what is the connector's name Pls. help. Thanks in advance.
It's called a push-on F connector. However, unless you are connecting it to your cable system, all you need is a single strand of wire that you can shove into the center hole. The best is a 24 guage or thinner wire, about 3 feet long, with a loose knot in it that forms a crude loop. I've even put a twist-tie in there and it worked as an FM antenna. If you are going to connect it to a coaxial cable, you will need an adapter. Normally, these come with the system, but if not, it's a Radio Shack item.
Q: I purchased new screw-on connections, and have attempted to follow the instructions, but the picture is still very fuzzy. Does anyone have good instructions, or a good website, to help me with this? Thank you.

Q: antec 900 case fans have molex connectors- apparently they do not connect directly to the motherboard. I see two cables comming out of the psu that could connect to the fans, but IDK which one to use. One of the cables is labled P7 and the other is labled P11.
Any standard power output connector from your PS will work fine If it fits in the plug then you won't have a problem. They make it easy for people that aren't computer wizards. P11 is not a molex connector it won't fit, neither is P7. Look for a plug than mirrors the one on your fan, will have 1 red, 2 black and 1 yellow cable running into it.
Q: I went and bought a PC adapter today for my DS because I can't get on wireless at my dad's house. I went to the nintendo website and tried to install the latest version of the connector download on windows xp and I get as far as trying to register it and it keeps going screwy, either not letting me open the file or opening this half glitched window that does nothing no matter how long I wait. I tried to do the setup file next but it stops a forth of the way installing telling me to plug in my DS to the usb port. I know it's plugged in securely and there is nothing wrong with the port itself but it just sits there telling my to plug it in and then wait. I wait and nothing happens. I'm not sure what to do or how to go about installing it. If someone could please give me a detailed explanation of how to do this I will be thrilled. Thanks.
It must be the Nintendo Wi-Fi connector. Anything else won't work. When you buy it, it should come with an installation disk. Install that instead of downloading the software. Or to both if it fails. Also, make sure you downloaded the correct software. Once you download the software it should have a step by step guide on how to set it up.
Q: how many 3 pin connactors and molex and that sort does this mobo have and will it support 3 120mm fans and 1 200mm fan like my case has 2 default 120 mm fans and i want to install 1 more 120mm fan and 1 200mm fan will it be possible?
For big fans that draws relatively large amounts of current (compared to smaller fans), you really should connect them to the PSU molex connectors using adapters. The motherboard fan headers can't handle much current, and larger fans WILL burn them out. Don't ask me how I know.
