Q:I used Oxiclean to get makeup out of my carpet a month ago. There is a huge white spot on my carpet now and this is a rental home. Is there anyway to fix this problem?: Yes it did, as it has been doing ever since the product was introduced. Oxy clean, used out side of the laundry room,has permanently ruined thousands , if not millions of yards of Nylon carpet.. You will have to hire a professional carpet layer/installer to remove a piece of same carpet from a closet to patch in the damaged area. This is done daily through out the country in rental properties. The closet can then be pieced in with an in expensive piece of carpet similar in color and design.Call a carpet/flooring store to locate a competent person to do this delicate work for you. Good Luck and remember to warn your friends about the damaged caused by this product when used where it shouldn't have been used.

Q:i was wanting to change the color of the inside of my car is there any way i can dye the carpet i want to change it to black.: if you don't want to just buy new carpet for your car i know a few companys make like dye in a can than is just like spray paint only thing is it can bleed when it gets soaken wet. if you decide to do this make sure your carpet is clean wear a rubber glove and spray are and rub it around with your gloved hand to make sure all carpet fibers are hit. i would just pay the $200 or so to get new color carpet installed because the dye isn't so cheap.

Q:I think I might have carpet beetles in my bedroom. When ever I clean up I find little brown bugs that shed their skin in my carpet and on stuffed animals that were on the ground. What about bleach?: You want to do this at a laundromat, biggest machine possible. in cold water, bleach the rug. It may take two tries---using the largest possible machine, try a cup of detergent and a cup of bleach, and see what happens. If you get the desired shade, or lighten it enough, then you can immediately dye it (To a darker shade, of course.) Otherwise, double or triple the bleach, no detergent, and run it again. You may put additional bleach in the compartment where the fabric softener goes, and it will bleach it again on the rinse cycle. After you dye it, as a courteousy to the next person, run it through a cycle with detergent, empty. Or you can do a load of dark, old clothes, like blue jeans. To dry it, lay it on a flat surface, turning it occasionally, and avoid direct sunlight, ideally it will be in the shade on a warm, breezy day. If indoors, dry it on an old sheet on a carpet, with a fan pointed at it, again, turning it every hour or two. Good-luck---Brian
