Q: Okay, a its getting colder ive started rugging my horse again, but theres one slight problem. He' terrified of them. It never happened before, but for the past couple of weeks the only way i can get a rug off him is by undoing the straps and letting him spook while holding onto the rug, and then putting it on i have to have very skilled aim and try to get it on while he is running in circles.This isnt happening because this is his first year of having a rug, he has had them for all 14 years of his life, its just ridiculous, and its not like the rug is different in any way at all. Its not my method of putting on/taking off the rug either, no one at my stable can do it without him spooking. Just wondering though, is there anyway i can desensitise him to this? Or find a better way to get the rugs on and off?: Let him sniff the rug first so he won't get so scared

Q: I was hoovering today and I took a closer look at the carpet when I realised my carpet is full of little white cm long bugs. I searched on google and they are saying it is carpet bettle larve. But looki g at the pictures of these beetle larve they look nothing like them. To give you a picture they are pure white cilinder shapes that have a sort of tuft on each end. They are a cm long and I'd expect a mm in diameter. Please help: Carpet beetles and clothes moths attack fibre of animal origin, avoiding the synthetic fabrics. Even synthetics may be attacked if they are soiled by food or animal excrement. The blending of animal fibres and synthetic fibres is now commonplace and make such textiles susceptible to carpet beetle and moth damage. Both carpet beetles and moths prefer secluded areas such as behind curtains and furniture where they are seldom disturbed. In each instance, it is the larva that will cause damage to carpet and other fabrics. Prevention Some carpets are treated during manufacture and should give protection against infestation until the chemicals are removed, either by cleaning or have lost their effect due to normal chemical breakdown. Prevention and correction of carpet pest infestations require special skills and extensive knowledge of the problem and careful workmanship. Protection of carpets and fabrics with high animal fibre content is an ongoing challenge which is now not always possible with the range of safer, less persistent formulations in use in the marketplace today.

Q: I have a little 3x5 brown and beige zebra striped pottery barn rug in here, but I want to move it into my bedroom because my mom painting some amazing zebra paintings for it, and the rug simply goes with my decor in there. It's too subtle for humans to smell but it's very strong to a cat's nose, and some decide that it's ok to poop there because it already smells like the litter box. Even washing the rug won't affect the manufacturing smell that's on it.

Q: How to clean the carpet if milk tea pours onto the white carpet: Method one: Just stained with milk tea, you can use salt on the stains (so that the juice adsorbed on it) - dipped in water wetting - cleaning with soap. Method two: Milk tea has dried, rub with vinegar - 5 minutes - and then use water to clean. Method three: Net collar! Method four: Baking soda with hydration- washing soda. the last one is also odd way : Colored fabrics are rubbed and washed in concentrated salt water, then washing them in water, next rubbing them in 10% ammonia water, finally, using detergent to wash; white fabric can be soaked in bleaching liquid (sodium hypochlorite solution for 3% to 5%) for 1 ~ 2 hours, then rinse with water. Peach juice stains can be soaked in oxalic acid solution for a few minutes, then using water to wash away.

Q: Im replacing a carpet afrer one and a half year use.can i use the same padding under the existing carpet?: Yes you can. You pad should still be in good shape. When you order your carpeting just tell them you want to use the existing pad. There should be no problem.

Q: My boyfriend and I have a mini fridge in our bedroom. It was collecting ice really bad around the little freezer compartment and was so bad we could hardly open it so I unplugged it and asked him to carry it outside to drain. I went to work. He didn't do it. It was a hot day so most of the ice melted.. out the bottom of the fridge into the carpet. Thennnn he took it outside. We put lots of towels in the carpet and sprayed with carpet cleaner but now there is a horribblee mildew smell, and its still pretty wet. I can't stand it, its gross.. what do we do? Nothing fancy - just a basic good quality carpet.Do they charge extra to install on stairs?: I had some pros come and do My floor in the basement and my steps and it was only about 300 sq ft and it cost me almost $700 ...... You need to shop around and look for the best that you can afford and do only the rooms that need it!!
