- Yes its a softer fiber. Softer than your standard nylon carpet. But the drawback is that the fibers don t stand up as well as nylon and defiantly won t last as long as wool. - Varsol will remove wax but it may leave a stain on your carpet. Try it on a piece of the carpet you dont see (under a couch). I have done this before, on a multi colored carpet. You need to wash with soapy water after because of the smell.
