- Q: Funny but its stained red! How can i get it out of the carpet.
- Fill a quart jar with a cup of ammonia, 1/2 cup baking soda, 1/4 cup vinegar and the rest can either use more ammonia or fill with water. I use more ammonia on tough stains and maybe because of the red color more would be better. Dampen some cleaning rags with the mixture and rub into or spray into the areas to be cleaned. When you've got it all then rinse with plain water or a little vinegar. You can also use a soft bristle brush to work it out and then rinse. maybe some of it is still there and it might have to be done twice to completely remove it all. Good Luck. Take an old towel to dry it somewhat and just put the towel on the floor and walk on it zig zaggy.

- I have a Bissel Proheat carpet steamer and it works very well. It uses hot water and has a built-in heater to keep the water hot. By the combination of a good sale and Rewards coupons, I got for it around $100 at Best Buy. It was a great investment, one I definitely do not regret. If your carpet is light beige and very dirty, it might take extra effort to clean it the first time (spot treating, going over the same area more than once, etc.), but after that you can simply use your steam cleaner once a month or so for maintenance. - house carpet will work. just take your old carpet out but watch you don,t tear it, lay it over the house carpet and cut around it. try checking with the carpet stores. sometimes they have remnants you can get pretty cheap.

- Q: what is the best way to hang a rug?
- There are many ways to go about hanging a rug. I will mention my 3 favorite ways: 1. Sew a long and narrow piece of cloth along the top of the rug (sew along the long edges, leaving a pocket that is open on both sides in order to insert a dowel that will keep the rug straight across the top) You could do this to the bottom as well in order to weigh the rug down, making it hang flat against the wall. 2. Sew double-sided velcro along the top of the rug and on the two bottom corners of the rug. Some velcro comes with an adhesive which you would paste onto the wall (or could be attached to a piece of wood that would then be mounted on the wall if the rug is too heavy). 3. Simply sew loops at even distances along the top of the rug which would then be hooked to hooks/nails/etc, attaching the rug to the wall.
- Q: Okay so yesterday i mixed dawn soap and water together and scrubbed the spots on my floor to get these crusty spots that were left on my carpet from the carpet cleaner. the crusty spots went away but in their place small spots (smaller than the crusty resdue from before.) were left over and they were now sticky! I than tried washing off those spots with anti bacterial wipes which didn't do anythign, i vaccumed my floor twice and today i used a combination of baking soda and vingar to get it ou of my floor. Now i have merely one or two small spots but im aware carpet cleaner is rather toxic and hazardous and so I wanted to ask if it's truly carpet cleaner resdue stuck to my floor or if it's simply the dawn soap that won't come out. Please help for I am rather worried.
- First rinse and blot the carpet ( don t soak just wet to rinse) with white towels or white paper towels. Do this several times. If this doesn t work, then reuse the capet cleaner and do nothing but rinse and extract the water. Do this several times while drying the carpet between times to check. Sorry to say buy using dawn or any improper ingredient in the carpet cleaner was a mistake. Plus the use of a rented or home carpet machine isn t good for carpet. If rerinsing doesn t work , haveing it professionally done is the next step. If this residue isn t remove it will attract dirt.. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL
