- Q: I have a office chair but everytime I try to use water on it it just leave a big stain what should I do ?
- Clean the whole seat area then it will be the same color/shade. You are probably seeing the difference in color. The part you have cleaned being lighter than the unaffected area that you did not clean. Hope this makes sense...

- some chairs do not go up and down but if your does there should be a lever somewhere around the base of the chair that lifts up and then to go down lift up on the lever and sit in the chair and it will go down. So just look under the seat for a lever.
- Q: Our toddler is a very quick little guy and him accessing our desk is a large problem. The problem is our son being able to climb the desk chairs and possibly fall off of them. We have huge and heavy metal chairs but that doesn't stop him from pushing them out and climbing to pull the keys off my husbands laptop. Is there a special device that could keep a chair latched onto a desk when not in use?Moving computers and closing doors aren't options since we live in a studio apartment.
- I don't know exactly what your desk is like but can you put a couple hooks into the side and put a bungee cord around the back of the chair to lock it in place? My son learned real quick if he touched the laptop he got in trouble so he rarely reaches for it now. However we have a cheap office chair on roller wheels that he likes to get on and zoom around the house. The bungee cord does not work with this kind of chair/desk as he learned to tilt it and slide it out. Finally we gave up because the fun he has on the chair outweighs any punishment we gave him so we let him fall off the chair and hurt himself a couple times and he is a lot more careful now. Hasn't stopped him from playing on it but he is a lot more cautious! Sometimes it feels mean but it can be the best way to teach a child what not to do sometimes. Remember that kids are tough and a fall that might break one of our bones or knock us out is usually just a bump/bruise and a 10 minute crying fit. You'd be amazed at how soon a little one is all better with the mention of a lollipop or Popsicle! Good luck!!

- Depends on what kind of chair it is. If it is a wooden dining type chair with a flat cushion, you can flip it over, remove 4 crews that hold the cushioned part on, pull off the fabric, put in more stuffing and staple back on the fabric. If it is an upholstered desk chair then it would have to be professionally re=upholstered. Unless it is a high quality chair like a Steelcase or Herman Miller (the kind of professional chairs that cost hundreds of dollars) it would cost you more to have it repaired than it would to buy a new one.

- Q: I hate this chair! There is only one control item--a lever, and I've never used it at all. Yet my chair is a different height every other week. This morning I found it so high, my feet don't touch the floor and I can't figure out how to lower it! I've moved the lever in and out and every which way, but the chair doesn't budge.
- Some old chairs adjusted just by screwing in and out of the central column. Since yours has a lever, this is probably not the case. If you have never used the lever, then we can't be certain what it does, but on most I have used, pulling up on the lever while seated should allow the chair to lower. Pulling up while off the chair should allow the chair to rise. Some I have seen also let you push or pull the lever to lock or allow the back to tilt some. If you have tried this, the pneumatic cylinder may be shot. Likely just need a new chair.
