- I really like the HT-9500 chair. Lots of bells and whistles and tons of great features. Heat in the backrest, an expanded massage program list through their iPod Touch/iPad/iPhone app, and air bags in the backrest that can be used to push you away from or closer to the mechanism. Thanks to those I sit in my chair without getting a massage and enjoy watching TV!

- Your best bet would be to go to your local retail outlet and test-drive the chairs they have there. Everybody is different and what works for one person may not work for another. I get lower back pain, too. I have found that pricey executive chairs tend to start hurting after only 45 minutes while I can sit in a cheap task chair for hours before getting sore. On the occasions I have to sit in a high-back executive chair I usually roll a jacket or towel up and put it behind my lower back. It helps.

- To find age, check each wood veneer, some models have a manufactured date stamped. If wood veneer is made of Rosewood, then it is definitely made before 1981. Other than that, its hard to find exact date of creation. the best is to ask Herman Miller. To find authenticity, check the bottom of chair and ottoman. If it is an original Herman Miller lounge chair, it should have a metal circle plate with H logo at the center with 'Designed by Charles Eames' around it. It also should have a patent sticker. Some of later models have a black rectangle shape sticker says 'herman miller'. The current model have a silver sticker with 'herman miller' on it.

- Keep a hand on something to help keep you balanced. No sense in falling over and knocking yourself out ;) I do recommend against, though, doing too much jogging. Jogging as strictly your only exercise can stiffen your hips. So if you jog, do a lot of stretches that help keep your hips flexible.

- Mahogany Guthridge Chair Dated 1901 Description: This unusual find, an Original Guthridge Convertible Chair. We are not sure what it was used for, and have asked several museums. The chair is solid Mahogany, The back of the chair has a release that allows the chair back to be brought foward on 2 hinges, up about 8 inches from the back. Perhaps used to help and invilide, or as a step,(had to have small feet?, or as what???Maybe one of your Grandparents had one of these. The chair measures 38 inched high to the back, seat 16 inches across in back, 18 inches across in front. Has two sturdy arms.
