Q: My dad bought a boat this winter and when we got it we watched the guy winterize it. He was doing this white it was running on muffs. We got the boat to run today (on muffs) but no water was coming out the pee hole. This is the first boat we have owned. We are rookies. We also don't to take it to a dealer. Is there anything we're doing wrong? I don't know for sure what year the motor is i think a 1900 something. It is 90 horse.
Not to worry.If it was pumping in the fall when it was winterized then the tell tail is probably plugged.This happens all the time.Over the winter spiders or something will crawl inside the hose and plug it.The easiest way to clean it is with compressed air.Just blow out the crap.When you have done this if it still will not pump water then you will need to have a new Impeller installed in the lower unit.I suggest that unless you are confident that you can do it yourself you have it done by a dealer because without water to cool the motor it will not last very long.

I'm guessing the pump is not in the well but in your basement? If so, it's probably the pressure switch vibrating and not making connection.
Q: I live in a house that uses a pump to push water from a tank to the bathroom and kitchen. It has a sensor that detects if water is flowing and pushes it much harder. Recently, it has been pushing the water for a second or less then it completely stops for a while. It's like a pulse of water then nothing. Can anyone give me feedback on what is wrong here? Q: When my wife was driving on freeway, the alternator belt broke and battery sign showed up. She also told that the temperature gauze showed high. Depends. On older vehicles they used multiple drive belts for the different components (my '88 Caprice had 3 belts), but most newer vehicles only use 1 belt called a serpentine belt which drives multiple components (my '00 Dodge Ram 1500) If you lose your serpentine belt it will set the battery light as the alternator is not outputting the correct system voltage, and since the same belt drives the water pump then yes the car will overheat. It's dangerous to keep driving like that, most newer cars have aluminum heads which will warp when they get tooooo hot = expensive repair

A Coleman product failed?!! Them's fightin' words! ;) I'm a big fan of Coleman. Perhaps thinking outside the box will help. All you need is a water pump which will run off 12 volts. Have you considered simple products designed to pump fuel, like from the aux tank in the back of a pickup? All you want is a gallon per minute, which is pretty slow for a fuel pump, but they are durable, cheap and run on 12volts. But you'd have to run a control box (electric) into the shower to turn it off and on. Wires are the bane of the camper! How can we eliminate complex wiring and electrical systems? Since this is DIY (does that rhyme with DUI? ;), perhaps a junkyard fuel pump from a car would do the trick? Pretty low flow and electrically driven since some darned fool lately decided the pump belongs INSIDE the gas tank. Never could see the logic of that.... You do know (of course) that extension cords lose power over distance. This is especially the case with 12v since there isn't much juice to begin with. How close will the car be to the shower? 10' is nothing but 50' will impede efficiency. I dare not question your motives for wanting a hot shower, that's one of the best invention of mankind. But I will ask how much trouble is it worth? Something wrong with using fire to heat water, mixing it into a 5 gallon bucket to get the temp right and shower as one would in a bathroom with a tub but no shower, using the water pitcher method of pouring it over oneself occasionally during the shower? A portable water pump. They come in a variety of sizes depending on your needs. A friend of mine runs a window cleaning service from the back of his truck. I don't know what size pump he has but I do know he also has a permanent water tank fitted as well as all the other fittings accoutrements for the job.

Don't think it is the water pump. A water pump will leak coolant from a weep hole first. Then it will slowly get worse until it throws coolant all over the place.. I think you have a stuck thermostat. It's a very cheep part and can be put in place within 15 minutes. The part about your AC not working is just another problem. Can't figure that out. If you drive your car overheated you can blow the engine fast. Do not drive it overheated!
