- Q: How good are the Kirby Vacuum cleaners?
- Ive had a Kirby, Electrolux and Rainbow (BIG pain!) I recently bought a Dyson (purple one for around $500) Best one yet! I have allergies and asthma so I am always trying to get one that helps with my problems. My friend raved about the Dyson (and it is bagless) I use it more than the others now. (actually the Rainbow was sold in a yard sale, and the Electrolux is now for the cars only) Even if they were the same price - I prefer the Dyson over all of the higher priced brands.
- Q: thank you..are the y functioning well?
- In my opinion they are not worth the money you pay for them. Fine for tiny little messes like spilt dust but not for anything else. You spend more time cleaning them out than using them. I wouldnt waste my money on them. Much better to buy a smaller sized vacuum cleaner rather than a mini one.
- Q: We must have had 10 vacuums in the past 5 years. We have been buying bagless upright vacuum cleaners in the $80-$150 range. We run a playgroup from our house so we vacuum alot!! At least 3 times a day. These cheap cleaners just don't last. The loose suction very quickly and eventually just break. So we have decided to invest in a better quality one. Any suggestions of a good quality vacuum cleaner that will last and do a really good job time after time. We don't really care about bag/bagless or upright/canister. We just want something that works well and will last. We are looking in the $400 max price range. So far we have been looking at Dyson, Oreck and Electrolux. Please help!!!!
- I own a dyson and it is renowned as one of the best vacuums. My uncle has a kirby, the best vacuums available, but heavy, not packed with features, but will last forever which is what you would be paying over 1000 dollars for. The dyson comes pretty customizeable in many different models. And the fact that the dyson never loses suction which is correct. The only thing with the dyson is that if you have a pet there will get a lot of hair stuck around the rotating brush which is the only cleaning you will ever have to do with it. The receptacle is super easy to take out dump and then put back in with only one hand. Just don't be too rough with your dyson i haven't broken any part of mine but it is only made out of plastic.
- Q: Which Vacuum is better...bagless or canister. And I mean cleaning wise. And with Canister, do you have to buy bags? Or with either, do you need to buy anything other than the vacuum EVER?
- I had both, my vacuum with bags would always get plugged, and when the bag got full, when I pulled it out I always got a cloud of dust as I pulled the bag off. I like my bag-less, because when full, pull out the canister with on button, then another button at the bottom of canister to release the dust door right into the trash, very covenant. Bags I was aways buying them, if that store does not have them I always had to find a store that did carry my type bags. Some canister vacuums have filters that have to be replaced. Mine has a filter that all I have to do is clean once a month let it dry and put it back in.
- Q: I just got a dyson ball vacuum. What happens if it runs over a nail or something metal, will it screw it up? Or can it handle it just fine?
- Hi okorder and click 'Support'. If you'd prefer to speak to someone in person
- Q: I have a dog who sheds like no tomorrow and my current vacuum doesn't cut it.
- Yes Dyson is a great Vacuum. Kirby is an even better Vacuum but costs a bit more
- Q: What is the best lightweight vacuum cleaner for use in a home with pets? I am willing to spend up to $300.
- I have a HOOVER-SAVVY it's under $300 and if you get the extended 3 yr. warranty should still be under $300. I used to go through a vacuum once a year and we didn't even have carpet... They would just die and I'd throw em' out. I got my HOOVER-SAVVY almost 5 yrs. ago as a birthday present and I LOVE it... I have 2 toddler and a large breed dog that sheds... It's NEVER failed me. I clean houses part-time for extra money and I started by using the clients vacuum... One day I brought my own vacuum from hom after I vacuumed the carpets I re-vacuumed with my HOOVER and I was AMAZED at all the stuff it picked up on a carpet that looked clean! So, I was sold! I vacuum EVERYDAY my house as well as 2 others... The vacuum works very, very well. Since I have the warranty I take my vacuum in 2x a yr. I'll usually call the customer service line with my policy number and tell them it's clogged or something weird.. I get a whole clean/check for FREE and it works like new! The vacuum doesn't take belts, bags so it's virtually maintance free. The only down side is the filters can be expensive. I have found them on sale at BEST BUY for under $40 for both... They last with normal use 2 yrs. For me since I have kids/pet and I clean other people's houses with children/pets. I replace mine every yr!... The vacuum isn't completely lightweight... I've tried those and have found they don't have enough horsepower.. This vacuum isn't super-heavy or superlight it's inbetween! It's easy to empty and replace the filters. It also has onboard attachments for furniture and high/hard to reach places. Though I like to use a wet/dry shopvac once a week on my furniture it's faster cuz. the attachments are bigger! Good luck
- Q: preferably dyson brand but it doesnt really matter
- I am sure Vacuum Cleaner will be available on Huge Black Friday Sales. Check it out, honey.
- Q: On a scale of one to one dozen, how do you rate purple vacuum cleaners?
- 1. We had a purple vacuum once growing up and it sucked.
- Q: Don't men vacuum too?
- Who do you think makes the purchasing decision for the vacuum cleaner in most cases? Men are not really the target audience for those advertising dollars. It would be a very poor investment. I'm sure some women use power tools, too, but I have yet to see a Craftsman commercial for Mother's Day.
