Q: What's a good computer chair that's less than $250 which has good back support and will last a while without having the cushion flatten or adjusters break?
I have found the best is one of my old kitchen chairs. The height is right and you don't have to keep messing with it to get it just right. I use a chair cushion to make the wooden seat comfortable and have a small cushion for the back when I need it. You can just drop the cushions in the washer and dryer when needed and it will fluff the pillow up again.
Q: This morning, my little brother had an accident on my computer chair: I had to go to work soon so I couldn't do anything then. However, now that I'm back, I tried scrubbing it a bit with a damp cloth, then dried it - still smells. How can I get this smell off of my computer chair?
Spray evenly with Pet Spotter made by Zep, which you can purchase at Home Depot. let dry, preferably outside if possible.. Repeat so long as smell remains, and vacuum chair at end. It will work, but it may take a few times depending on how deep, the urine soaked into the chair. Another thing you could do if it is really bad, is wet the chair up pretty good with the pet spotter, but evenly, and then extract with shop vac if you have.. Look at vacuum attachemnt or hose end as you do this to see that liquid is still coming up, and just keep going til no more is, and then if it still smells( now that it is wet, if it will smell, it s gonna smell), keep repeating.. No matter how bad it is, this second way that I told you about should have it taken care of in the most an hour's time.
Q: I have two lounge chairs i just bought and they are starting to rust. What can I put on them to make it stop?
How about a thick piece of glass for the table top (e.g. 1/4) -- something rated for outdoor use? We have a wrought iron table with a glass top; it's round and and we leave it outside and uncovered from spring until late fall. Wipe with a paper towel and window cleaner before use and it's good to go. That same piece of glass has been around for some 40 years -- it's got some fine scratches but that's the only sign of wear. As for the paint we got good results with Benjamin Moore enamel for metal surfaces. The previous responder is right about the preparation and priming, etc.
Q: This chair is very common in hotel conference rooms, weddings and other events. Does anyone know where did the design come from ? or who was the first to produce this kind of chair ?
Please be more specific about the design features of a 'banquet chair'. I can't imagine the same style of chair being suitable both for a wedding feast and for a meeting e.g. for taking notes, small fold-up 'table' attached.
Q: I have a chocolate brown couch but no chair. I haven't been able so far to find a chair the same color in my price range. I've found beige chairs that are affordable though.
I say buy what you like - it is YOUR house, right? Heck, even if it doesn't match, you are the one who has to live with it! Who cares what color it is? Yes, I try not to have things that are too far out and weird, but hey, if it is comfy, I don't care what anyone thinks about my furniture. Yes, I would like to have everything that matches, but sometimes that just isn't the priority in the ol' budget, you know? Beige would go totally fine with chocolate brown - but if there is something else that you like, get it! I used to have an entire house furnished with hand-me-downs. I could afford to buy the house, but then couldn't afford to furnish it, so my friends all gave me a little something that they could spare. I got a couch and a chair (they happened to match) a coffee table and end table (which also happened to match) 3 assorted book shelves, a love seat, a tv, a tv stand, a desk, a dresser and assorted lamps and decorating stuff. I placed all these things in the places I thought were best and it looked really quite nice. Not one single new thing in the entire house and I ALWAYS got compliments on how cozy and homy my home was. People felt comfortable there. They didn't feel like they had to walk on eggshells because they might break some expensive thing. The bottom line is, decorate the way that makes you comfortable. Don't break the bank over it if you don't actually have the money. Just do what you can with what you have. It is just like the be yourself thing. Be yourself and don't worry about what other people think!!!
Q: i need help i broke the chair that is wooden and we dont have any glue and im hoping that she doesnt find out b/c i would be very introuble and i need help on how to fix it
at last it quite is gonna be chanced on. No way out different than dealing with her. I even have an ill-tempered mom too so i recognize it quite is frightening. yet you gotta do what you gotta do. Confess. or only blame the cat. mom our Cat is turning out to be too heavy.
Q: I can snowboard perfectly fine down the slopes, I have no problem with balance or turning or anything like that. But every single time I get off of a chair lift I eat s**t. I try and do everything the people tell me, I even got a grip on my board but my boots slips right off, and my board is shiny which again makes it super slippery. I have tried putting my foot against the back binding but again my foot just slips out of position as soon as my board touches down on the snow ramp thing.! In the end I had to ask the guy to stop the chair lift and let me off so I didnt injury myself some more. Please help we are going up again in a few weeks and I dont wanna stack every time. Thanks any help is appreciated.
your problem is you cant turn 1 footed, not that you cant get off the lift. what i suggest to all beginners is, place your foot on your board and brace it on your back binding like you have tried, take your back hand and put it on the chair as you stand up, keep your arm stiff. let the chair push you, it wont hit you i promise. and then coast STRAIGHT off the chair (unless someone is in your way) once you slow down and want to try to turn go ahead, or you can just coast to a stop. you dont need to turn right away getting off a chair unless someone/something is in your way. if you must turn remember to turn your shoulders, just like your making your normal turns. if it helps hold your arms out and point both in the direction you want to turn. also you can drag half your back foot off the uphill side, this will help your board flip around sideways.
Q: Is there a better (meaning cheaper but ergonomically excellent) chair to buy for my home office?
Probably, but shop around. I found drastically different prices from site to site.
