Q: i want to re carpet my bedrooms, where could i find carpet besides a carpet shop?
Cassy, if you want new carpet then you will have to go to a carpet store. Some of the larger companies have end of line run out sales for carpets that they are replacing with a new pattern or colour so it's always worth asking, you might get last years carpet at a bargain. You could also look at some auction houses for carpet bargains. If you are okay with second hand carpet then have a look at some of the trader newspapers, we have trading post here in Melbourne and they are online too, Australia wide I think on the net. Some people will sell their old carpet when replacing it so check around. Also, you could contact some carpet installers because they are always ripping out old carpet when laying down new stuff. Ask them what they do with the carpet they are getting rid of. They might onsell it somewhere if it's in good shape. You can always jump on line and google 'second hand carpet'. I got a few hits when I did this so you might find something in your area.
Q: (Or perhaps any rugs?)
Persia is the most famous country for rugs. But, the orient is the most favorable for wall habging. Try china or Taiwan for nice cheap wall rugs. Persian rugs as I have said are the best, but costly.
Q: How do I get blush (as in makeup) out of my carpet. My cat was crawling on my desk and now I have some in my carpet. My dad is going to kill me if he sees this. can anyone suggest anything?
you might just try soap and water...even a little liquid detergent...not too much...it soaps up pretty quickly...i use an old wash cloth with a little water and then add the soap to it....keep rubbing..then add more water if its too soapy...hopefully it will come out....if it comes out to your liking then keep blotting the area with paper towels to absorb the moisture.......good luck what ever method you find...........
Q: how to clean vomit off a gray rug.?
Sprinkle with soda (deodorizes the scent), conceal with a towel or newspaper till the mess is thoroughly dry (will shop somebody from by risk walking with the aid of it plus help take in the moisture). Sprinkle with soda returned. enable stand for quarter-hour or so. Vacuum nicely. Spot sparkling with any type of spray carpet purifier. desire you experience extra valuable.
Q: If landlord was to replace carpet with our security deposit does it, by some type of law or anything in Florida, have to be of equal or lesser value than the carpet originally in there? Or can he just get really fancy carpet and charge us up the ***?
Replaced carpet has to be reasonably same quality carpet. Since you have no knowledge of what was paid, the quality/pile/density, etc. there's really no way you could argue this. But generally if a renter is the type of person that damaged a carpet enough to need replacing, they shouldn't be arguing the matter anyway. These kinds of renters either have kids or animals that have destroyed it, or they themselves did it and had no regard for what happened afterward. In such a case there's really no one that would blame a landlord for anything he'd do to fix the place up afterward. Don't let yourself be one of those types of renters. It's supposed to be your home albeit temporary...it's not an animal crate.
Q: Office wall is white, ceiling is also white, the door is brown. What color of the carpet is good ?
How about gray?
Q: What size is the carpet of 0.4-0.6?
That Is 40 cm wide *60 cm long
Q: read my other post
You can normally exchange or return unused items to Home Depot with a receipt. If you don't have the receipt then they give you a card with store credit for the purchase price.
Q: Do you need an upper floor carpet at home?
Disadvantages of carpet laying:1, the carpet is bacteria breeding places, the people around, bacteria and dust will be deposited on a carpet of flying and be inhaled, affect the health, health can only be done in a timely cleaning dust, it is difficult to get rid of the bacteria. Long term use can cause bronchitis and respiratory problems in children.2, carpet grades are many, some cheap, some expensive, depending on the grade of purchase. The grade of the carpet more expensive. But once dirty is very troublesome, I will regret that why not to find their own tiles trouble, so much trouble. But a dirty place even if cleaning is difficult to restore the previous glamorous, expensive, want to not give up, become chicken ribs!3, carpet cleaning, maintenance difficult. First of all, easy dust dirty carpet, often need to dust, secondly, because of the porous carpet, easy to shelter evil people and countenance evil practices clean up more difficult.
Q: I'm looking for instructions on how to make a rug with scrap squares of fabric tied into knots and what not. Thanks!
Hmmm. Not a seamstress, nor do I care to be, but I have one that I enjoy, and has lasted for 3 years, but it was machine made, and as a Rag Rug, was stitched, not knotted. Actually a pretty decent project though, for using scrap fabric, much like a braided oval/round rug. Perhaps you might find in a fabric retailer, a Mesh type, stiff material/substance, similar to that used in small yarn craft kits, but in a larger size? Just my two sense
