They used to say that the dogs were attracted to the smell of the glue they used to put the carpet down. Is she chewing at a seam in the room. If not she may be attracted to some other smell in the manufacturing of the carpet or pad itself. You need to try to get her attention off it when she starts to chew. Or like the previous posts find something to spray there that smells or tastes bad.

Q: My cat is constantly scratching my oriental rugs. They are extremely old and she's just always on them. Does anyone know if she can do any damage to them? If so, is there anything I can put on them to keep her off?: Heck yes she can damage them. If they are that old and valuable, either take them up, or put them into a room where she cannot get into.

Q: I got nail polish all over my bedroom carpet and I need to get it out!!: You can do it yourself, with a clean towel and nail polish remover, the trick is to blot not rub, I did this with a brand new rug and it came out fine, you can do a test area first to be sure you don't take the color out, just make sure u have enough acetone to do the job perfectly.

Q: How to clean out the stubborn stains on the carpet with a simple method: Coke is easy to wash, if there isn't too much, can squeeze the detergent (whatever detergent, washing powder is ok)in dirty places, then use a toothbrush or small brush to brush gently, until brush off the cola stains. Then use a wet towel to wipe just brushed place repeatly, until you feel there isn't remaining detergent. After getting rid of the detergent, use dry towel to absorb water on the carpet, and then use the hair dryer to dry the wet places!
