- I'd buy carpet protectors. They are long self adhesive rolls of clear plastic that builders use on the carpeted floors in model homes so people don't walk on the carpet. You can get these at Home Depot or Lowes. They just roll out, stick to the carpet, cut and do another length the same way until you cover the entire room. Easy to pull up again when you are done. I'd overlap each strip by an inch to be extra sure that nothing gets under it.

- no doubt about it they will come out. I bend carpet all the time around corners. It will take a little time for the carpet to relax but it will. You could help it by unrolling it so it will flatten overnight. Also if it's still wrinkled tomorrow you could use a steamer. Just steam the wrinkles for a second. When the installer stretches your carpet and kicks it in the wrinkles should come out anyway.

- Q: colour-not quiter pink-not orange-2 choices I have seen- background medium to lighter green rug with same paprika colour it-abstact pattern or background almost same as sofas with some light green and light blue--is it better to have mor colour that matches sofas or introduce new coulor and pop the sofa colour in it? - For the rug not to stand out to much you need just a little color that matches the couch or walls or what ever else you have in the room if you can't match then use earth tones. Also make sure you pick a color that is easy to keep clean. Never get to much of the same color in a room.

- I have tried rugs for a horse in the past but it was a disaster. Indoor-Outdoor synthetics are better but still a royal pain. I finally surrendered and started using straw.

- There is a good chance the carpet will damage the floor, unfortunately. Also, having the floor covered, if you spill onto the carpet, it will soak into the wood and you cannot dry it. It will therefore damage the wood and you will have to pay for it when you move out. You could ask the landlord if you can buy carpet and see what they say, but they probably spent too much on the floors to let you ruin them. You can get a non slip mat and area rug for the bedroom. Check under it periodically to make sure the mat does not stick to the floor. I 've heard of this happening with cheap mats, and the mat basically glues onto the floor, so you end up having to get the floor refinished.
