- Yes, you can do the roung rug, no problem. Do keep in mind that the rug must be big enough to do this comfortably. To determine what size of rug should you should place under a dining room table, measure the top of your table and add between 24 and 30 inches all around. This allows space for a person to get in and out of the chair and to move closer to the table or move back from the table and all the while the back legs of the chair are able to remain on the rug. It’s really a hassle if the dining room rug is not large enough and the back legs of a chair keep going over the edge of the rug. You might want to have people sit in the chairs and move back from the table as they normally would and then measure that distance to be sure what size of rug you should have for the dining room. Other furniture in the dining area, such as a china cabinet or serving table, should not be on the rug, only the dining table and chairs. Hope this helps...

- There is some cleaner called Greased Lightning that works REALLY good on carpet stains-espescially on light/white colored carpets. I haven't had the misfortune of Seafood flavor cat vomit, but it got red marker stains out, and a multitude of others out of my carpet. Depending on the texture of the carpet, you will have to dab/blot, and maybe pour a small amount of hot water on it to dilute the stain that seeps down to the padding, then blot again. Rubbing and scrubbing should not be done unless and until you have just a faint stain left, because you will just spread the stain, and the more scrubbing you do the more it wears the carpet in that area, and it will still be noticable. They sell it in the cleaning supplies at Walmart or Family Dollar Stores, and it's less than $4 a bottle. It's also good at cleaning other surfaces, and it's even taken grease/oil stains out of my husband's jeans without discoloring them. Good stuff.

- Take the rug to a laundromat and use the oversize commercial washer, cold water and just a little detergent; too much soap and the rug will not spin dry well. Use the oversize commercial dryer too and use low heat. A lot of the hair should be gone now. If not, use your vacuum again to see if that makes any difference. Now if you're still dissatisfied with the result, weigh the cost of a professional rug cleaner against the cost of a new area rug. Life is too short to stress over an area rug princess!

- You should have not gotten it wet. You should have vacuumed it up right away. There is no real way to get that out of the carpet now. I have tried. I did the same thing. Spilled an ash tray, brushed off as much as i could, then used resolve. I still have the stain. nothing helped. Sorry :(

- unfortunately, there is no way to get a bleach stain out of a carpet. carpet dye is added topically, so what you have done is taken the color out of the rug. you may be able to have it repaired... if you have a large enough piece of carpet in a closet, an experienced carpet installer may be able to cut out the damaged piece and replace it . it won't be a perfect fix, but it will be better that what you have now.. for future reference NEVER use bleach on carpet, it is not color fast, and depending on the kind of carpet, you may melt the carpet. before using any kind of cleaning product, you should test it in a closet, or an inconspicuous area.

- No . . as carpet cleaning is more than some kid coming in with a hopper and spritzing soap . . a good carpet cleaner understands what he's doing to carpets and fabrics and understands stains and how to get them out correctly. A kid just knows how to fill the hopper and push the wand.

- Your new carpet is doing a natural thing .. It s called pilling and fuzzing. Very common in staple type carpet. Most carpets are staple products. It will stop shortly unless there a defect in the carpet ( rare but it happens) Defiantly keep vacuuming. It s the best thing for carpets.
