Q: How to clean the large carpet at home?: forwool or wool blending blanket, detergent should be used ; other blankets should use washing powder (high foam, and dirt remover). wet the carpet and lat flatpaving, brush with soft brush dipped in detergent solution (water dissolved detergent) brush blanket from the edge, cannot leak, otherwise the effect will be affected. rinse and brush (ture on the water from the hose and brush with a soft brush ), insure the detergent on every spot. wash and push the carpet with a piece of flat wood. Rinse blanket, spray a few drops of water added vinegar on the carpet to remove residual washing liquid, antibacterial disinfection. squeeze water as much as possible with plank, hang it to dry it, drying as soon as possible, when the carpet is completely dry, lay flat and brush with a soft brush toward one direction to make it more organized and neat.

Q: what is a jewelled rug?: i think you may be talking about a jewel toned rug. jewel tone colors are bright, deep, and saturated, jewel tones in red, blue, purple, green and yellow can add graphic punch to any room. go to the target website and search for jewel tone rugs. they have a pic of one. hope this helps!

Q: My neice spilled pink nail polish on a beige carpet, what can i do to take it out?: If it didn't go into the carpet, let it dry. If it is just lightly on the surface, you can take a razor blade and scrape it off after it dries. If you try to use nail polish remover, it will smear, spread, and make it look worse. The best thing to do on carpet is to try to remove it when it's dry and can be scraped or cut off. I slopped latex paint on my carpet. After it dried, I took thin shears and got just behind the dried paint and cut it away. Although nail polish is not a latex, I still think this is the best way to go. If you must try to use remover, try to get the dry polish off as much as you can first. Then with the remover, stay limited to just the area of the spill, so as not to spread it.

Q: I have carpeting in a room where I would like to install built-in bookshelves. How should I secure them to the floor? Do I need to remove the carpeting or can I set them on top?: I would really remove the carpet underneath them, put down a tack strip and re-kick the carpet to it and end it with a tidy roll. The major problem with putting them on top of the carpet is leveling. I have some built-ins in my office and library both on top of carpet. As the carpet and padding compresses, it changes the leveling. Also, there is a tack strip along the baseboards which causes the units to pitch forward because it doesn't compress. If I had to do it over, I would strip out the carpet underneath because I'm constantly checking the level as the house settles, too.

The pattern should be clearly visible in the back otherwise you have a machine knitted one
