Q: Last night we found our basement carpet soaked after a rainstorm---there was not standing water (until we pulled up the carpet and padding), but it was set enough to squish when you walk, etc. We pulled up the carpet and threw away the padding. We've been trying to dry it out with a fan, but it doesn't seem to be helping. What steps should we take to save the carpet? We really can't afford to replace it right now. Also, we live in Colorado, and there is almost no humidity. Q: does shag area rugs look good on berber carpet?: I'm trying do decide if you are serious or not... Absolutely not, this would be a horrible combination. If you want an area rug over a berber, go with a more typical low-cut persian rug or similar. It will add to the decor rather than subtract from it like a shag would do. It will also be easier to walk on if it is in a traffic area.

Q: I love my cat, but she will not stop peeing on my den rug. The majority of horses do not need rugs, people just think that they do. A horse or donkey can regulate its temperature very well, by putting a rug on you are actually stopping their bodies from working properly. The only time I would put rugs on is if it constantly rains/snows and they live outside with no shelter, otherwise they will keep themselves warm and happy as long as they have enough to eat.
