Q: Okay I have a question I have an 8 gauge wire kit and it says 350 watts peak. What the difference when there is the same 8 gauge wire that says 800 watts peak does this really matter? Thanks guys
wrong wire is not wire. the gauge is the size of wire but the material and insulation determine the wattage it is capapble of carrying. cheap wire carries less current than non-cheap wire does.
Q: What's the thickness, or measurement for the last or thickest wire?
they change your wire according to how much your teeth have shifted around, so it just depends. the ortho needs to adjust the size of the wire due to your teeth straightening out and making sure the wire(s) are at a correct length. its really not that thick of a wire, so don't worry about it. :D
Q: i am installing a headunit, i connected all the wires the match, but i have some left over that i am confused about. from the wires that plug into the radio there is the antenna wire, the remote wire, and the ground with a washer to screw it down, and from the other is set of wires is a solid orange wire, which i have no idea where it goes to. so i connected the remote to the orange wire and didn't hook up the antenna to anything, and bolted down the ground wire. I'm wondering why i have 2 ground wires, and what the orange wire is and what do i connect to it?
if its basically static, your audio gadget are effective, verify that not one of the wires are touching, whether its basically one + touching a - the entire gadget will sound undesirable (different than for the sub which gets its sign from a different source. verify at the back of the cd participant and in case you're able to desire to get rid of each and each speaker a million by using a million.
Q: I have eight speaker wires, I can figure that out on my own. I also have a red/blue stripe, black/red stripe, black/white stripe, and blue. Which ones are the power wires?
you will need a DVM, to find what is what. Check the fuse box, and make sure the fuse is good, and search for the constant power.Set the meter to 20V. I like to stick the ground on my meter, in the ignition where the key goes. Then find the switched, key on wire. obviously, you'll have to move the ground on the meter for that. Don't forget to solder and use heat shrink tubing, or red and blue butt connectors, and heat shrink, or tape them well. Then set the meter to ohms, or the omega pic on the meter. once you find a resistance for each speaker, pop it with a 9V battery, not a AA, as both terminals are on top. then when you hear which speaker pops, wire it accordingly. Good Luck!
Q: I have a kicker cvr 12 inch 2 ohm dual voice coil sub (400 watts) and a kicker zx750 amp. how to wire?
wire it in series so you get a 4ohm load. not unless you could still return the sub and get the cvr with dual 4ohm voicecoils. then you can wire that in parallel to 2ohms and get the most out of your amp.
Q: I have just started wire working to make bracelets. I have a few questions. 1, is there a place where I can buy thick wire (16 to 18 gauge) in bulk? The items I am making take about a yard of wire. Considering the only thing I could find was 16 (or slightly hire) gauge in 7 foot increments. For new wire workers, do you have any suggestions on cheap practice materials. Also for those things that don't turn out great, what do you guys do with them?

Q: I bought a chandelier from Ikea and I am having trouble wiring it. The colors do not match the colors in the ceiling. There is also one extra wire in the ceiling. This chandelier is to be controlled by a switch. Chandelier wire colors:WhiteBlackGreen/yellowCeiling wire colors:RedYellowBareBlackPlease help! Thank you!
in case you look on the ceiling the pink cord is used for lights and the black cord is for direct potential or that's no longer linked on the different end. you will locate that in case you get rid of the conceal plate on the sunshine change the pink one is linked on the change. connect the warm lead black from the sunshine to the pink cord the white wires are floor and could all be linked alongside with the sunshine white cord, the fairway is a protection floor and could be linked to the container in some way and how it develop into is high quality. flow away all different wires on my own they do no longer something to do with the sunshine they only desire a container to end and start up in yet they artwork to run potential to different factors of your abode.
Q: The black wire is called ground but what is the red wire called?
The most common term I've heard for this is source.
Q: wiring diagram
I don't believe that such a thing exists. What is your question specifically? Are you installing a remote receiver inline? If so, the wires should be individually labed. Connect the white wire coming from the ceiling to the white wire labeled 'line' or 'to supply'; connect the black wire coming from the ceiling to the black wire labeled 'line' or 'to supply'; connect the green wire from the fan, green wire from the mouth, and the green or bare copper wire coming from the ceiling (if there is one) together; connect the white wire coming from the fan to the white wire labeled 'load' or 'to fan'; connect the black wire coming from the fan to the black wire labeled 'load' or 'to fan'; if you're installing a light kit on this fan, connect the extra wire, which is probably either black with white stripes or red, to the wire labeled 'to light'
Q: Whenever I'm making jewelry, I typically wind up using crimp beads (with toggle closures, in most cases). Whenever I cut off the beading wire at the end, after enclosing the crimp bead around it, there's always this itsy bitsy part of the wire that irritates me to no end when I wear the jewelry. It seems that I can only cut the wire so much before I wind up snipping at the crimp bead. How can I remedy the irritation fact of the left-over wire?Maybe put glue on the wire piece and let it dry? Idk. Grr.
Depending on the size of the hole in the beads, I usually run the wire down throw about 2 inches worth of beads; then crimp and clip. This also ensures that if the necklace if caught and pulled you have about 2 inches of slack before you are chasing beads on the floor. If you hole in the beads are small you can do two different things. 1) find a coordinating bead with larger holes that you can end the necklace with on both sides of the catch 2) Be sure your wire is running straight back down the original wire after going through the crimp, then crimp and clip. The end of the wire will be straighter and not tend to go out to the side and punch your neck. And unfortunately there is not a solution every time.
