- A lot depends on the type of bearing. Generally, you can get the bearing out either with a press, or if you do not have a press or access to a press, you can use a tube or socket of near the right size and push them out with this and the use of a hammer. Before you do this, heat the metal surrounding the bearing to expand the housing to facilitate the extraction of the bearing. Nip into LOWS; go to the plumbers section and purchase gas-blowtorch. This will help heating t he metal surrounding the bearing. DO NOT HEAT THE BEARING ITSELF, okay. Once out, the replacement is simple. Again, heat the metal to help the bearing slip in easier. Use a piece of wood to tap the bearing in with a hammer to tap and seat the new bearing in. Good to go .. Best wishes, Dr Antony (45 years of doing it myself)

- Maybe. If the rod bearings are shot but the crank has not been damaged the bearings can be replaced with the engine essentially in place. If the crank has been damaged the engine has to come out, making it a bigger job, but still within the range of a dedicated DIYer. Generally, if the engine has been operated with a bad rod knock it will need a replacement crank kit.

- Scooter is probable the least complicated to apply and get around on. Skateboard style of interior the middle... tougher gaining expertise of curve; greater possibly to interrupt your face. you will look cooler than you will possibly on a razor in case you could administration the ingredient. Longboard... super, cumbersome, greater of a paint to lug around. complicated to provide up once you have have been given some velocity. Get used to pointing it at grass and leaping off. I say pickup skateboarding.

- the difference is the amount of ball bearings that are inside of the bearing itself......... the best bearings you can get are the swiss bones
- Q: hello, i had a oil leak in my car witch ended up in a seized engine, i have taken the sump off and taken off the bolts of the conrods and the shells are very damaged, it seems i can now turn over the engine when the conrod bearings are removed, if the conrod bearings are damaged does this meen that the shells on the main crank bearings will be damaged aswell? would it be possible to replace these bearings without removing the crankshaft, also one of the conrod bolts is a little bit rounded off , how would i take this of and could i buy new bolts ? thanks
- Sounds like this engine is finished. Dont waste any more of your time on it, find a used engine and just replace the one in the car with the used one......

- It's gonna suck...big time. If it's knocking, you'll have to probably pull the crankshaft anyhow......
