- 1790 watts at 230 volts is about 8 amps. I would use a power cable rated for at least 10 amps or more. You would need a wire of about 8.3 sq mm, 1.63 mm diameter, or 14 awg to run this load. 2.5 sq mm is the equivalent of 24 awg wire, 0.5 mm diameter, or rated for at 3.5 amps. The unit couldn't draw enough current to run properly with this wire.

- What's under and over the closet? If the basement (unfinished is best for tapping into and no worries of going through multiple walls) is under it, you may have a bunch of choices to tap into. Make a list of what circuit breaker/fuse every light, outlet, appliance is on, you don't want to overload a already full circuit.

- If you are talking about the HDMI cable that goes from your HD TV to the ps3 - then you have to find out the resolution that your tv supports and then find a HDMI cable that matches that resolution you can get these cables at major electronics stores It is best to have a HD TV with the HD cable (improves graphics)

- There okorder /... If your PSU has a 6-pin PCIe power plug, you plug that in there. If your PSU does not have a 6-pin PCIe power plug, use the 4-molex adapter that came with your HD3850. And I disagree with the post above-- You DO NOT need a 500W PSU to run the HD3850. The HD3850 draws a paltry 75 watts maximum. As long as you have a typical dual-core system with 1 HDD + 1 ODD, you can run that HD3850 with just a 300W PSU. I'm running the more powerful 3870 (faster-clocked version of the 3850) on just a Seasonic S12-360W PSU and it works flawlessly.

- all you need is a bog standard power lead. The power unsit runs off mains voltages so a 500W supply uses only 2A (ish) (if on a 220V system) and 4A if on 110 (approx)

- Q: u know the big power cable that hooks onto ur positive terminal. it's a piece of metal on the tip that's round and has a hole in the middle to hook it onto ur screw. my step brother cut the middle of it with pliers and alot of the top part is gone, is this the reason my sub isn't powering on? also it wouldn't fit on the screw obviously. so how do i fix this problem. get a different wire with a bigger end piece? thanks for ur time
- buy a new end piece from a radio shack, you can hookem up pretty easily. i answered your other question too, but i just wnat the extra 10.
