- Q: Three parallel wires are each carrying a 4A current. ; wire A) is 6 mm from wire B) which is 3mm from wire C); The current in wires B and C are out of the paper, while A is into the paper. What is the magnitude and direction of the magnetic field halfway between wires A and B?I have tried using Biot-Savart Law but keep getting it wrong can someone please help? I also have an equation for two parallel wires but how do I relate it to two?
- SO YOU HAVE TWO POINTS ON PAPER HAVING DISTANCE 2d. megnetic field zero will be on the mid point of this line. (there will be many points where the megnetic field will be zero but THERE IS ONLY ONE POINT ON PAPER)
- Q: So I need to tap a few wires, and cut 1 wire and join it with another wire..What would be the best way to approach this? Here are the full instructions so you guys have an idea on what I'm trying to do.quot; On the TAN plug there is 1 ALL PINK(E7) wire you need attach the WHITE wire from your relay to that but don't cut the PINK wire just tap the WHITE into it.Next go the the GREY BCM plug there are 3 WHITE wires.
- The instructions seem pretty straight-forward. T-Taps and squeeze-connectors are basically the same thing; achieving the same results, which is to add a connection to an existing wire without interrupting the line. Just make sure you use the right size and type, meaning; don't use a low-voltage connector for a high-voltage application... You'd just fry it up. For the cut wires, I'd use crimp-connectors and some shrink-wrap. Again, using the correct connector. You can use wire-nuts, but the crimp-connectors are a more permanent fix. Good luck to ya.
- Q: I recently Hooked a newer Pioneer cd player up in my 00 mustang gt!.. it will not keep memory. The only way it will come on is when the red(power) is hooked up with the Yellow wire!.. but this way it will not hold a memory.. theres a few orange wires but i have hooked them up and it still wont keep memory? any suggestions?
- Chech okorder ... The red wire goes to the ignition 12 volt source, and the yellow to the battery 12 volt source. The yellow wire must remain hot with the key out to retain memory. There may be a bad fuse for the battery wire. It is usually fused through another circuit such as the cigarette lighter, clock, or horn.
- Q: need to know how to properly wire this amp in a truck
- wow I have never heard of this amp until u mentioned it. the ratings seem good. ur best option would be to call sonic electronics have them send you a manual on how to wire this amp. they sell this amp. I mean u ask how to properly wire it. wire it to get power ? or to the woofers ? red wire + goes to your battery. black wire - goes to your ground (not your battery) to the frame of ur vehicle. then u need a blue wire, your remote this wire goes to ur stereo's remote wire it should be the same color or it will be marked. but if u do not know how to hook up an amplifier u should go to a professional shop due to the fact if u improperly hook ur amp up YOU CAN START A FIRE IN YOUR CAR.
- Q: I hooked up my Klipsch floor speakers with the old-cheapy wire and then bought, I think it was monster cable, and bi wired it. Big sound improvement. But I've heard pros and cons on monster cable. I have three zones to wire in my house. If I bi wire the other two zones what's the best wire to get? You can spend a small fortune on wire. If I bi wire, zone 2 would be 30 feet x 4 and zone 3 50 feet x 4. I read that if one of the wires is silver it's better as silver's the best conductor. This I knew already. But, when I bought the wire that I did, it didn't state anywhere on the label that it contained silver and I think that would be a drawing point. In fact, I didn't see any wire at that store that said it was part silver and it wasn't Walmart but a major electronics store. I did see some that had silver colored strains but so is steel and aluminum. I also read on another forum that CAT 5 wire works well for bi wiring? Thoughts? Opinion?
- They colour the wire by plating it. The silver is one conductor colour and the other wire is copper colour. Separate strands. This is so that you can keep the polarity straight when you are hooking up your system. You will also notice a raised ridge on the insulation of on conductor in two conductor wiring. Again it is a mark to let you tell the + from the - wires. Silver wire would be a good conductor, but much more expensive than copper and about equal in current flow. It would also corrode more and make for connection problems.
- Q: I m wondering if there s a Neutral Wire in this picture (yes I turned off the breaker to get this photo). I want to put in a quot;Smart Light Switchand they require a Neutral Wire. I ll have an electrician do the work, but want to make sure the wire exists first.
- The wiring appears illegal The wire connected to the 2 black wires appears to be a bare copper wire. If this is the case, it is illegal and very dangerous. The bare wire is a ground wire. Someone use a 2 wire cable with ground in place of a 3 wire cable with ground. It appears they used the ground wire to supply electricity to the switch and receptacle. Use the common (Neutral) wire on the receptacle. A good qualified electrician will not use that wiring and will insist on correcting it. If the ground is being used as a current carrying conductor as it appears; this is not only a shock hazard but also a fire hazard. Have a licensed qualified insured electrician check this as soon as possible.
- Q: Just got a 540 wat sound system but the speaker wires are only 5 feet, so I want to add about another 10 or 15 feet.
- Just go down to Radio Shack or some other consumer electronics store or even a Home Depot, etc. and get a roll of bulk 14 gauge speaker cable. It's usually only about 25? per foot and you will have plenty of wire to work with for your entire system. I recommend against splicing speaker wire because not only does it hinder sound quality, but if you don't do it properly you could end up damaging your speakers and/or your receiver. - Q: I bought a cheap amp wiring kit so the ground wire is not the same size as the power wire but my friend gas me an extra piece of 8 gauge wire same as mine if i put both of these to on at the same time would it help out any? also he gave me some audio cable like the wires inside are twisted to gather the box says it gives you better sound quality would they make a difference in sound that the one's i have on there know? Thanks
- NO, you need to buy thicker wire because electricity follows the path of least resistance which means if one of the wires is 1/8 of an inch longer than the other, that is the wire the most electricity will flow through, as far as the speaker wire it wont make a difference unless it is thicker than what you already have installed (its very hard to tell the difference in sound quality even with very high quality speakers
- Q: What causes signal Loss and Distortion in Copper Wire?
- the resistance of the wire itself can be responsible for signal loss. electromagnetic fields may cause distortion. Another possibility is if the signal is not terminated properly you may experience a reflection of the signal traveling in opposition of the desired signal. Heat can cause loss or distortion. corrosion on the copper wire may also cause loss or distortion of the signal.
- Q: like can u use home power wire that is 4 gauge rather then getting the car power wire
- Home okorder /... (spanky, well trying to run solid wire in a car would be a real task! lol) And, 4 gauge can handle more than 95 amps.
