Q: I just bought a new JVC CD player well my dad and I are trying to hook it all up, we went to auto zone and got all the parts we need, wiring harness and faceplate kit. We got all the wires stripped and hooked to the right ones except when we plug it in there is no sound CD player works just no sound. Q: where does the thin blue wire from the amp go, i know it goes to the stereo but i dont know to what wire: Its probably a power relay wire used to switch the amp on when the radio is turned on. The radio will have either an orange or yellow wire that is used to trigger a retractable antenna. If this is the case, connect your blue wire to this orange wire on the radio. Then when you power the radio the relay switch will activate the amp. If you do not have this option on your radio, you will have to manually wire a switch that is connected to your fuse box so that you can send 12 volts to that blue wire to activate the amp.

Q: I've seen people use it as ...umm..energy generating...majiggy.. (but not alot of energy) including a magnet/something about a magnetic field or some sort?and instead of MAGNET WIRES can i use SPEAKER WIRES?(RADIO SHACK): Magnet wire is just solid copper with a layer of varnish for insulation. Speaker wire would work, but you could not wind the wire as tightly due to the thicker insulation. also the wire is very flexible and will not stay in place very well. Also, if the coil gets hot, the insulation on the Speaker wire will start to burn or melt. .

Q: u said when i buy a jvc wiring harness one end plugs in the back of cd player and the wires coming out of that connect to the wires in car will they be the same color though? right now there is a harness already on the cd player and the wires are on it and they are pretty long i thought i just wire those wires from it to the ones in car but they diff. colors: Do you have a wiring diagram for your car? In there, they have the color codes for the speakers, dash illumination ( so when you change the lighting on your dash, your radio will change too), power attena, constant power for the clock and presets. If you don't have the diagram, check online for it. If you bought your deck from crutchfield, they include plugs that fit your car so you dont have to cut wires. Good lluck with it.

Q: tryin to move dryer approx 8 more feet but existing wire not long enough have 12/2 wire can that be used to run 220 dryer: Really shouldn't use no. 12 wire on an electric dryer...No. 10 is usually the mininum wire size as long as its not more than 30 or 40 Ft.

Q: I've been meaning to find floral wire for a DIY project I'm going to attempt. Does anyone know where to buy floral wire? I'm not sure if Michael's sells it. Please let me know from personal experiences.: Hi Vanessa Diane, Floral wire can be bought at any local craft store ( Michaels etc ) and also your local WalMart. It does come in varying thicknesses. You will see on the outer packaging as the wire is numbered. Example, the lower the number the sturdier the higher the number thinner the wire. Happy DIY !
