Q:hi i was wondering if its possible to electrify chicken wire? i have chickens in some fields and they keep wondering and chicken wire is alot cheaper than buying proper electric fencing??: It would be difficult to do. First you would have to insulate the fence wire from the ground. That means it could not be touching the posts. Next you would need a fence charger, a power supply if it is not battery operated, and a ground rod. It is not as simple as hooking a wire to the fence.

Q:I'm trying to fix a light fixture for a friend. Her father-in-law gummed it up. At the fixture, there are 3 white wires soldered to a single wire. There are 3 black individual wires and one red wire. There are three switches that control the light.If I hook one of the black and the 3 white to the light, the light stays on constantly. If I hook either of the two other black individually, nothing comes on period.I'm pretty much at a loss. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.: There are three switches that control the light? Remove the cover for those switches and check what color wiring is connected to them. If you have 3 blacks, two could be power to the switches, and the other is line voltage from the panel. The red could be a runner for a 3 pole switch. Whites are neutrals. Trial and error unless you start tracing out wires.

Q:Ok. so i wired my cd deck into my 92 buick, but everytime i start the car i have to manually turn on the cd deck. i also have to change the settings everytime! and once i turn off the car the setting will not save and the setting will be lost. Now everytime i turn my car on i have to manually put the settings again! this did not happen in my old car! and i think it might be the wiring! You don't and this is why it's bahiving the way it is.

Q:I have a ceiling fixture outlet which has 4 wires coming out (red, black, white and uninsulated ground). There is only one light switch that controls it. I wanted to attach a light fixture to connect to that, but the light fixture only has 3 wires (red, white and green - ground). How do I connect this light fixture to the 4 wires?: The box in the ceiling was wired in anticipation that someone might want to install a ceiling fan instead of just a light fixture. You need to use a circuit tester to determine if the red or black wire is the one that is controlled by the switch. If you don't have one then remove the screws from the switch, pull it out until you can see the wires that are attached. There should be a black wire on the lower terminal ( power coming in ) then either a black or red attached to the upper terminal. Which ever color is attached to the upper terminal would be the corresponding wire to use in the ceiling box for a light.

The light fixture I want to install is a two bulb fixture that has 2 black wires, 2 white wires, and 1 bare wire.: The wires on your ceiling fixture are called ROMEX. This is the big casing that has two insulated wires and one bare wire. The bare wire is the ground. The romex coming into the box comes from the source and the other comes from the switch. Black is HOT coming into the box from the Romex that has only the black and white wires. To be sure about this, take the cover off the switch on the wall and see what wires are present there. This might show that a three way switch is installed somewhere if there is two switches that control that light. As far as the light fixture that you have, connect the two white wires and the two black wires together and then one of those pair goes to the white wires in the ceiling box and the other goes to the red wire.

Contact the two bike tires together a some infinitesimal spot. If those tires are exactly perpendicular in the X and Y (Z doesn't seem to matter because it is the point where they touch), it would make sense to predict that on top a vector will point West and on the bottom a vector will point South. The net vector should be SW. So, if you marked the initial point of cross over on the wires and mechanically could keep them free to move but still perpendicular, the cross over point would move SW for as long as equal current flowed in the two wires.

You will have to do what's called a hard wire. You will need to run all new wires, which is the safest way to do it, with all proper fusing. A constant +12, a switched +12 and a ground is all you need for the radio to work, and all new speaker wires. If you can find one in a junkyard, you might be able to find a new harness to repair the OEM one, and that would really help you out. Good luck!
