Specification of High Quality Air Filter for BMW made from Korean Made Filter Paper:

PU air filter

The PU air filters are produced by domestic or importing pure wood OARS filter paper as the major filter medium. Fluid sealant has good elasticity, tensile strength(pull ≥ 88N, elongation ≥230%). Filters are able to be suitable for different climates, heat-resistant -30℃ - 120℃

PP air filter

The PP air filters adopt domestic macromolecule composite non-woven filter material, as the main products of above 98% efficiency, fluid sealant has good elasticity. Filters are suitable for different climate condition, heat-resistant -30℃ - 120℃

Green air filter

Green air filters are environmentally protected, which are made by domestic macromolecule composite nonnon-woven filter material. All filters are high efficiency filtration effect (≥99%) and heat-resistant -30-120 centigrade.

Q: I have a really restrictive air intake on my 04 V6 sonata and I want to fabricate my own air intake ans when I was buying the parts for it, the guy at the register said it wouldn‘t be carb legal, even though I was going to use a K N filter, is that true?
As long as you do not alter or remove any emissions sensors that my be part of the intake you should be just fine. Intake tracts are usually designed to mute or muffle intake noises and as such can be very restrictive. If you can find these choke points and remove them or modify them then you can make some improvements in the stock system. Usually most stock intakes already draw air from outside the engine bay so all you really need to do is clean up the choke points. Now the C.A.R.B. may have some tough restrictions so you need to find out for yourself what they are .don't rely on someone else to tell you something that may not be true .do your homework and some research and find out.
Q: which air intake sytem is better and why?
no you are on the wrong track. putting parts on your car just because the manufacturer tells you it will add x horses doesn't mean that its the right thing to do. and starting with the intake is very amateur to say the least start with ignition. :)
Q: Looking for a cold air intake that has the best quality while not being overly expensive.2006 GMC Canyon i5 3.5L
the one installed by the factory, I suggest you do not do anything that will cause more problems, this was not a good motor to begin with and anything you do is going to mess with the computer and likely pop a check engine light. These cold air filters are crap, none of them do what they say, and worse there are lots of complaints online about them, some vehicles engines have been damaged when the computer leaned out the motor for no reason others would not even start. and on and on, a stock engine is making all the hp it can handle any thing you do to make it work harder can cause it to blow up sooner. Is that what you want? I suggest talking to your mechanic and getting a professional opinion before installing. good luck. Also ask the mechanic about those fake power chips, they are baloney as well.
Q: I have heard that many cars have some piece of plastic in the stock air intake piping. supposedly they can be simply cut out and the intake will be slightly deeper sounding. is there a piece like this in the 96 camaro v6?
There is nothing you can cut out to make it sound good without causing some damage.
Q: K so i have 1 problem. My car is 2005 Honda Civic LX (manual) the air intake brand is Spyder and its for 01-04 Honda Civic DX, now im wandering if this air intake will work on my car.
Is the airflow sensor and air filter box one piece? If so it might not work. One thing about cold air intakes on newer cars is many times you will actually lose power because the computer is getting a different reading of air flow than what it was designed for. A larger diameter intake pipe will actually slow the speed of air flowing. Imagine blowing the same volume of air through a narrow straw vs a wide straw. Blowing the same amount of air through a narrow straw will create a faster flow of air. Your computer is set to read a volume of air flowing through a narrower intake. A larger intake pipe is better, but you absolutely must reprogram your computer so that it recognises a bigger intake and will adjust air fuel ratio appropriately. My friend installed an AEM intake on 2007 RSX and he actually lost 6hp at the wheels on a dyno test. After doing an ECU reflash, he ended up making 11hp over the stock power.
Q: should i go with the short ram air intake or the cold air intake i got a v6
Cold air intakeIf you are looking for max horsepower the answer is a cold air intakeCold air is denser and containes more oxygen which means you can burn more fuel resulting in more power. If it is just a daily driver then it does'nt make any real difference except your new cold air intake might impress the chicks.lol. :)
Q: I‘m looking to buy a cold air intake for my car to improve performance. I‘ve seen where people put two into the same car, would that make a difference? Would I be wasting my money to add a second?
christian, plain and simple, regardless of your intake temperature, your ecm/u adjusts timing and fuel injector delivery and pulse. it is mapped to compensate for more or less dense air, then trim the engine management to keep performance and emissions right inside the map. it is little to no benefit. your vehicle came with a cold air id warrant. youd be better off not changing a thing, and having your ecm/u flashed for more performance instead of economy and driveability. with the level of engine management in use today, almost every, scratch that, every performance mod needs a new flash or set of data tables to even be half useful.
Q: i have a 2007 nissan 350z its all stock and i was wondering if the kn came in a set of 2 or is it just 1?
Yes, you should get it checked out. You should also take a MSF training course and pay particular attention to the braking exercises and then go to an empty parking lot and practice.
Q: i installed a AEM air intake system (model 218402DP) in my 2003 tacoma. i installed the air intake hoping to increase my mpg, but i have lost about 1-2 mpg. i do not have a heavy foot and i do not go around speeding.has this happen to any of you?
whell umm there are 4 wheels on a car so 4 wheel drive is all four wheelsand all wheel drive is also 4 wheels.i think but im pretty shure
Q: what kind of flowmsters should i get for my 98 jeep grand cherokee? How much will it cost, and how much HP gain? Also what kind of cold air intake should i get? How much will it cost, and how much HP gain? PS: it‘s a 4.0 i6
I have a 98 w/ the straight six just like yours. Ive found that the best affordable sound combination for exhaust is a Magnaflow high-flow cat ($120) and a Flowmaster Super 40 series muffler ($150). You'll pick up like 10hp. If you got money Borla makes a muffler that sounds amazing on 6 cylinders, but its $500. As far as cold air intake, they are all about the same in terms of power increase, maybe 5-10hp, so i would just go with the cheapest one you can get (Summitt brand, or build your own at Autozone), but a name brand one like KN ($170) or Accell will bolt right in with no effort. Realisticly all you need is a high flow filter, these trucks come from the factory with a large no kink air intake that routes right out from the front grill. I rock the Fram Air Hog ($40) or you can get the KN for $50.
