- Q: I need carpet and pad installed in my home. I will remove old carpet. What is the estimated installation cost. Appx 1100 sf. thanks
- Carpet prices vary widely as does quality. But you can get a mid grade carpet and pad to cover any warranties for around 3$ a s/f installed. Of course you can get a better carpet ( and cheaper ) but you generally get what you pay for.. Don t down grade pad since this is the back bone of any carpet..If any thing this is one place to up grade to what you can afford. GL

- Try hand sanitizer. I once got sharpie (which is permanent rly hard to get out) on my shirt. I soaked my shirt in a dish of hand sanitizer it immediately came out. Once it was dry it looked like it did before the sharpie. So just take a towel soak it in hand sanitizer press it on the carpet stain wait 1 min or 2

- Wool carpet looks and feels awesome, but is tougher to maintain. I would not use a general carpet shampoo on it since they tend to be rough on non-synthetic fibers over time. For spot treating (spills, etc): Use a white cloth dampened with barely warm water and a few drops of clear dish washing liquid. White cloth and clear liquid just to make sure there's no color/chemical transfer. Blot it the way you'd get at any spill and then a dry cloth to get all that water up. For a deep clean: You'll be better off getting a professional in once a year or whenever the mess is too big to clean yourself.

- Q: The pad is worn out under the carpet in traffic areas, but the carpet is fine.
- Just pull up the carpet and remove the pad. You may have to roll the carpet when taking it up. I bought the best thick carpet padding from Lowes. Check there. I bought the thickest and it even has a odor guard in case you have pets and they have an accident it won`t smell, of course you would have to spot clean the area...

- If his room is all Simpsons maybe just look for a rug that has the colors of one of the characters or something that way it won't be over kill on all the Simpsons stuff you know, like if you have walls with Simpsons and furniture or decor with Simpsons adding a rug with Simpsons may be a bit much where as if you just put a cool Marge's hair color blue rug or A simpson skin toned yellow rug it might pull it all together better, just a thought :)
- Q: i have candle wax in my carpet
- Take an old dish rag or t shirt that you don't want to use again with an Iron and lay the rag on top of wax and start with low heat on iron run it across till you see the wax go unto the rag......keep doing this until you get all the wax unto the rag...sometimes it might take more than one rag. WORKS EVERYTIME:-) I have a 5year old...i understand!! LOL

- Bleach is really toxic.. might be better just to have concrete. I hate carpets too, everything clings to them and the carpet cleaners are hopeless.
