Q:I have a dark beige livingroom carpet and bought a dark brown (almost black) bamboo rug . Will it look right ?: Any rug can be used on top of carpets. You may have to get a carpet mat to place under the bamboo rug so it doesn't move and buckle on the carpet.

Q:if i use oxyclean and water in my floor scrubber for a cleaner to do my whole carpets will it work nice?: I use oxyclean in my residential grade carpet steamer all the time and I haven't noticed any negative effects. I add about half the carpet soap that the instructions say to use and use about a tablespoon of oxyclean. Make sure to use really hot water and shake the water holder around to dissolve all the oxyclean before you put it in the machine. The reason its OK to use oxyclean is that any residue left behind won't be sticky and attract dirt like soap products would. That being said make sure to test out the oxyclean on a hidden corner of the carpet first, just brush in a small spot to make sure nothing bad happens.

Q:Heyy me and my roommates are thowing a huge going back to school party but we are trying to keep our carpet as clean as possible (almost impossible i know). Resign yourself to the possibility (probability) that you'll have to have the carpet professionally cleaned . How do you pay for that? Your guests can ante up a couple of bucks each as a cover charge. It's a pittance compared to tuition fees. Another way to look at it is, if you are renting and have placed a security deposit with your landlord and decide not to do anything about a stained carpet, how frugal do you think he or she will be with your money when contracting a carpet cleaner? Not! The way the economy is now you can probably get a pretty good deal. So get busy. Oh, and while getting your prices, you might want to ask which stains are the most difficult to remove. I know that candle wax is a tough one. One last thought. You may know or know of someone who has a carpet cleaner. See if you can borrow it for the evening. Have it set up and ready to go should there be an accident. I'd loan you mine but I'm over 30 and can't be trusted. Have fun and I hope I didn't sound too much like your father.

Basically a good saddle, if looked after will probably outlast you ! Rugs can be complicated, I don't know what sort of weather you get but here in the UK my horses are out for most of the time ( they only come in a night in the worst part of winter and they don't like that much either !) I have full neck rugs for really nasty cold time and ones without necks for when it's just normal winter weather. They don't wear any rug during the summer as a rule but if it rains for long periods ( as it has this year) I put the lighter neckless rugs on them. If it got sweaty during riding in winter then towelling dry is a good idea and you can also get a cooler rug - this acts like a string vest and stops the horse getting chilled while he's cooling down. As your horse would be going straight back into the field it would be best to cool him down on the way back from your ride so he doesn't get home so sweaty. You can't just go throwing thick rugs on sweaty horses so you would need to walk him round in a cooler to get him dried off first. If this turned out to be a problem with you spending ages cooling him down you could get him clipped which would stop him getting soaked but then you would need a really good rug to make up for the lack of winter coat.

I managed to pour vanish carpet cleaner over it overnight, and that's made the polish fade a bit, but does anyone know how I can get it right out?: This may sound crazy but it works, i spilt pink nail varnish over a creme carpet. And i got a sharp pair of scissors and chopped the top of the carpet of, like not must even came of just a bit of fluff and it actually looked exactly the same, no difference at all. And you couldn't see the nail varnish. because it was on the fluff of the carpet. and there was quite a lot of nail varnish spilt.. :S :D
