Q:I have a stain on my carpet. It's from tanning lotion cream. The carpet is beige, and wool. Is there any way I could get this out?
You have to be careful with wool, a lot of products that can clean carpet can also damage it (though typically, good wool carpeting is very cleanable compared to the synthetics or cheaper wool). The solution is dependent upon the stain and color of the stain. Your best bet would be to have it professionally cleaned using hot water extraction (aka - steam cleaned), by a reputable carpet cleaner. By reputable, I don't mean one of the large corporately owned companies, as they seem to nearly always do a horrible job. They're very in-and-out trying to make a quick buck, though they may be cheaper. They should be using chemicals to clean the carpet, and have the proper knowledge and know how to diagnose the stain and then remove it. Even if the stain cannot be removed, a good carpet restoration person can dye it back to, or very nearly to, its original color easily. We do this all the time on all colors of carpet. Without seeing the stain, its hard to tell you what exactly might work. Also, if you don't know exactly what you're doing, and you try it yourself, you could actually make the stain worse, or set it in for good. Might be able to tell you more if there was a picture to see the stain though. Anytime you spill something on your carpet that you know is likely to leave a stain, the best thing you can do is put water on it, and just keep it wet until you can have it cleaned, preferably as soon as possible.
Q:What is the best quality area rug material. like are vinyl or wool rugs the best
I have always had hard wood floors, so I use area rugs and rug runners under foot. I have found that the best rugs are wool rugs. My all time favorite rugs are hand hooked rugs. They are very durable.
Q:i sold a rug in craiglist for $500 now shes saying the rug smell what should i do??
Did you smoke or have pets in your home? Unless you misrepresented the rug to the buyer in some way, such as not telling her the rug was the cat's bathroom or not telling her the rug had been flooded with dog urine, you are not obligated to do a thing. Often, and I really mean often, some people will experience buyer's remorse and want their money back. If you know the rug was in good condition and you represented it as such, don't give the money back. They might take you to court, but again they will have to prove you lied about the rug when you sold it to them. This aggravation is part of doing business.
Q:Is new carpets have pungent odour is because of low quality?
Put it on the balcony to dry and blow for a few days, then it won't have smell.
Q:We have white carpet and I want to know some of your experiences of what has worked the best. We have a bissel carpet cleaner at home and I would like to use that but the bissel cleaners don't work very well from what I've found.
hire the rug doctor
Q:How to use carpet cleaner?
Carpet cleanerThe main ingredients are hollow globular silica, dried cellulose pulp and added a small amount of surfactant. When the utility model is used, the dry cleaning agent is applied to the carpet, and the dust is sucked away by the vacuum cleaner, and the pollutant is effectively removed, and the cleaning effect is more than 90%, and the product is less polluted to the carpet. Vacuum suction recovery rate of 94%~96%.
Q:Wat material is good for office carpet?
How about velvet? It's durable.
Q:i have just bought a thoroughbred who has a very fine coat despite the fact it is winter, he lived out at his previous home but with 2 rugs on. i want to continue having him living out but with so many rugs out there and not having to rug previous horses i am a bit confused! do you have any brands you recomend? how many rugs do you think he will need?i live in england so it can get a bit cold in the winter, i want to rug him because i would rather he keep his nice thin coat and also he is sued to being rugged and what with moving home and meeting all the new horses, not having a rug on might be a bit of a shock to the system!
I would definitely say that Weatherbeeta are the best brand for affordable but comfortable and hard wearing rugs. I've had my weatherbeeta rugs for two years and only had them washed, not reproofed even though one of my horses is a rug wrecker. I have a TB myself and I know how much of a pain it is to rug them! They are very prone to chills and don't really grow an incredibly fluffy coat. Here in scotland its already reached only 4 degrees at night and my hands are frozen, and plus the wind chill makes it a very cold night. My boys are both in mediumweights without necks at the moment at night and lightweights during the day. However this is also because they are getting clipped next week and I want to prepare them for that and not let them get too soft beforehand! For my TB I have this wardrobe - 1 x Lightweight (Mark Todd brand - very good durable, I would say the best out there) 2 x Mediumweight with and without a neck (both Weatherbeeta) 2 x Heavyweight with and without a neck (Mark Todd and Rambo - very good but very expensive brand) The two of the mediumweight / heavyweights mean that in the midst of winter when it gets absolutely FREEZING I can double rug, putting a mediumweight over a heavyweight or vice versa. I also have stable rugs but that depends on whether you are stabling them or not.
Q:I know the chairs should stay on the rug when pulled out.. But it's a pretty small space. I was thinking maybe no rug at all would look Better than one that's too small!?
Yeah, skip the rug. I have the same situation where I can't fit a rug for a space where the chairs need to be pulled out. I just have a couple of rugs in other parts of the room. Much easier to clean under the table and no stains on the rugs.
Q:I’m moving to Las Cruces, NM in about a week and I need to get my carpets cleaned. Can anyone recommend a good carpet cleaning service? Preferably good carpet cleaners that are can remove difficult spots and stains from light colored carpets.
I have here, they quite far from your place but they can help you.
