- Q: I want to ask my mom if I can put carpet in my room, because right now its hardwood. We live where it gets cold, so it would be nice to walk on in the winter. It also more comfortable to walk on, and would look better. How much would it cost to carpet my room if its about 13 by 13 foot?
- Measure your room and figure out how big of a rectangle would work. Assume that you would leave a little space around the edges (maybe 6-12?). Go to carpet stores and ask about remnants in the size you need. They always have leftovers from carpeting jobs and are more than happy to sell them. Some may already be bound at the edge, others may need to be bound and you would have to pay for that. You can install a remnant by just rolling it out. You could add a pad underneath as well, but it is not necessary.

- Any way you look at it, stuff like vinegar and baking soda seem the way to go. Use separately. If you have a steamer/extractor, run vinegar instead of carpet cleaner. You might also do some research to see if borax can be used with these machines, and if it is safe for carpets. Between uses, shake baking soda on dry carpet and allow to sit, and then vacuum it up. This is natural stuff that won't harm your ferrets. At the same time, they are powerful deodorizers that can handle the ferrety urine-y smell even when housebroken...as well as any occasional litter problems that they have. These items don't leave a lingering smell behind. Baking soda doesn't have a scent at all, vinegar has a whang but it dissipates easily as your carpet dries. Most important is that these are not chemical fumes that are toxic, even if overwhelming. As you know, you need to keep your ferrets bathed so they don't stink. And you may eventually decide to replace your carpet with something that is easier to clean.

- Old Cat Lady is right. Listen to your elders. OK sorry that was stupid. I would just sorta tap them on the head or spray them when they do that, or take the rugs out of the b-room and replace them w mats.

- wool carpet is not suitable for wet house, because it is easy to mildew and become smelly. you can try plastic carpet, but it is not beautiful

- Carpet Beetles probably. Definitely NOT Bedbugs. Bedbugs have incomplete metamorphosis so they don't really have a larvae, they have nymphs. Larvae look totally different than the adult while Nymphs look almost identical to the adult ... only smaller.
- Q: I am putting in 2 subs in my car with a plate so the subs look like the back of the trunk. Problem is that my carpet has quickly deteorated due to my previous box and I want to replace it. I am going to cut out a plywood sheet to fix the bottom of the car then install the carpet on that. The plywood is going to have a hinge to swing it up so I can get to the spare tired + add extra support. I need to do this by saturday before the subs are installed. What thickness plywood should I use (Thinner is better for me and I am going to drill holes in it for weight reduction) and how do I install the auto carpet so it's smooth and looks nice.Thanks!!!
- Trunk carpet and most other carpets are preformed to fit, you can get one from a auto upholstry shop or the dealership, they are held in by push pins to install them, any mods you do to the trunk you have to mod the carpet to compensate, as for the ply wood, you might wanna go with 1/4 inch thick.. not being there it is kind of hard to imagine what your doing, but anytime your modding a trunk, there is alot of problems you can come across.. most modders when doing up a trunk say hell with the carpet and make a custom fiber glass mold (very professional job), so, all in all, write these plans out before you do them and also make some measurements, gotta remember you have only one shot at this so make it a good one.... best of luck to ya.

- if it's a flat carpet (not thick) then you might have a shot but ... still..... it sounds dicey if it's one of those plush (thick)(high pille) carpets, then you're out of luck

- Spanking him on the butt does not help. Early in the morning and at exact intervals you need to take your dog to the right spot. This will become a habit. Its like teaching a child. You need patience and keep training at the right time.
