Q:How can I wash the ink off the carpet?
Liquid ink: immediately use absorbent paper blotting ink, rinse with warm water, while drying excess moisture, if you need carpet cleaning agent available.
Q:how or what can i use to get the sticky residue off carpet ? previous owners put vinyl tile over carpet which was stupid does anyone know what i can use to get the sticky residue off carpet?? i have goo gone not sure if it would work does anyone know what would work.. that wouldnt take alot to get it off carpet.. seems to be those self adhesive tiles that are on top of carpet.. i'm lifting tiles off but the residue is on carpet making you stick kinda to carpet.. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!! thank you in advance..
My feeling is you'll have to get new carpet. You're basically going to have to saturate the carpet repeatedly with solvent and rub it with old towels to soften and absorb the adhesive. Carpeting has a tendency to 'wick down' moisture, so if you soften the glue it will want to go down further into the carpet rather than wipe off. Depending on the thickness and height of the pile, and how much adhesive is stuck to the fibers, you may be doing a lot of work for nothing. Solvents you can use would include stuff like Goo Gone, however it will take a lot to get the adhesive off, and that will get expensive. You can also use paint thinner or turpentine, but the fumes may be too much unless you can close off the room, and the smell will linger. Either way, you'd best not light a match in that room for a while, and the solvents could also cause the adhesive under the carpet to fail.
Q:What carpet is good for office?
Generally, carpet is often chosen as office carpet, and carpet color is better concise, there is a larger flow of people in the open office area, demanding carpet not only wear-resisting, good noise absorption effect, but also dirt-resisting, so mainly is dark carpet, square carpet has the characteristics of easy replacement, easy to clean
Q:what kinds of carpets are there?
Nylon carpet, polypropylene carpet, blended carpet and plastic carpet!
Q:I would like to have it completely carpeted from wall to wall. How much will it cost me to buy the carpeting and have it installed professionally?
If your planning on doing the whole house at once, your best bet in to go to one of the large chain stores. They will come out and professional measure it for free. I can tell you It's not going to be cheap. you are looking at around 200 yards. A medium grade carpet where I'm from goes for about $10-15 a yard. That does not include pad. Don't go with a real cheap carpet it just won't last. A basic way to tell the quality is to look at the height of the nap and then spread it apart with your fingers. If there is a lot of space in between the carpet fibers its a lower quality.
Q:How to clean stains of bedroom carpet
The carpet stain must be removed in time , but it must have the correct method, edible oil stains: Use gasoline or carbon tetrachloride and other volatile solvent to remove, use alcohol to clean residual part Soy sauce stains: First, new stains should be washed with cold water, and then washing with detergent can be removed. Old stains can be scrubbed by warm water with detergent and ammonia, then rinse with water. Shoes oil stains: Using gasoline, turpentine or alcohol to wipe, then use soap to wash. Urine stains: New stains can be washed with warm water or 10% of ammonia solution. Old stains can be washed by detergent firstly, then washing the carpet with ammonia water, pure wool carpets need to be washed by citric acid. Juice stains: First using 5% of the ammonia liquid to clean, and then using detergent to clean again. But the ammonia does harm to wool carpet fiber, so it should minimize the usage. Generally it can clean by citric acid or soap, alcohol can also be used. Ice cream stains: Wipe with gasoline. Wine stains: New stains can be washed with water. New stains can be washed with water. Old stains need to use ammonia adding borax aqueous solution to remove.

Q:I have a bissel carpet shampooer. I use that wit hot water and the bissel cleaning solution... Which is okay working.. But I need to DEEP clean my carpets. Whats the best cleaning solutions I can use in my shampooer or pour directly on the stains? The stains are mostly pet stains (no odor) and the stairs get bad because of all the foot traffic. Any diy home remedies or anything really, thanks!
Use Quick 'n Brite (walmart has it) to completely remove the stain and then get an enzymatic cleaner at a pet store to completely remove the scent. Neither will do the job of the other, you need both. Carpet cleaner may get the stain out but the odor will still be there for your dog to detect and return to. Hopefully you don't have a light carpet because if you do, forget it, nothing works.
Q:I haven't vacuumed my carpet in over 2 months and its really dirty. I know its disgusting but I hate this flat so much and I rarely come here, just to sleep. My room mate has a vacuum but its a standing up one and I hate those which is why I hate doing it plus my room is small and has a lot of stuff in it (huge walldrobe, dressing table, chest of drawers, bedside table, 2 person sofa, storage boxes, 2 chairs). Anyway we have mice and I put down sticky pad things and I found what I think is silverfish on it so I REALLY want to clean it properly now. Should I buy a carpet cleaner? I heard using vinegar but I'm not sure how. How would you go about cleaning it? should I just vacuum it continuously for like 10 minutes lol? And yes I know its gross but I'm really lazy.... don't judge me =/
Trap or poison the mice, two people died last week from hantivirus somewhere in california, I believe. go to a supermarket and rent a carpet cleaning machine, use very little soap as soap residue is hard to remove, when left in the carpet it becomes a sticky dirt attracting magnet.
Q:Okay, i already have carpet in my house but the thing is...the carpet in the living room is hideous it doesn't match anything that i'm trying to do!! I would love to just rip the carpet up and put a new one down but i'm only renting this house! Anywho, can i put a big enough room sized rug over the carpet...how tacky would that be. I actually think it'll cover the whole carpet, it's pretty big my living room is pretty small! Any suggestions???
Sure! Go for it. What color is the carpet and how high/low is the pile? It helps when the carpet is low pile and neutral. But if it isn't, the more you can cover it with a large rug the better. But consider what oneman says as well.
