Q: We have a fairly large area rug in our living room but over time it has become wrinkled. I don't want to buy a new one yet, so how can we get it to lay flat against the carpet and not bunch up with stubborn wrinkles anymore?: Steam it and hand it over a banister.

I have found that using the stuff for stains first (like resolve) and then cleaning the carpet with the machine works better and gets the carpet cleaner. Also from time to time to clean my carpets with my machine I will add a little bleach with the carpet shampoo. It does help.

If the carpet is a beige or tan, I would try to saturate the area with some tea. Tea can be make lightly or strong, and it will stain. So try to put some color back into the rug. meanwhile, get a product called Anti Icky-Poo which will remove the odor.
