- This really depends on what type of leather it is. If it is on a pigmented leather then the first thing you should try is an ink stick. The fresher the ink the more chance you have of removing it. It is a good idea to have one in your house if you have a pale leather and children!!!! You should also be using a good quality leather protector on a pale suite. This will act like a 'scotchgard' and will make any more mishaps easier to clean off. If an ink stick doesn't work a solvent based remover will need to be used and it may also remove finish and pigment so is best left to the experts. Hairspray sometimes works but can also make the matter far worse as it can spread the ink over a bigger area. Nail varnish remover or any other solvents will remove the finish and pigment which will need replacing. Baby wipes are about the worst thing you can use on a leather sofa as they break down the finish and will eventually ruin your suite. If the ink is on an aniline style, there is nothing that will remove it because the ink will have re-dyed the leather. It may dissipate over time with cleaning and protecting.

- I would go with a twin bed.. A futon and sofa bed are all right for occasional sleeping but terrible if you have to use them all the time.

- You need to use a good quality water based foam leather cleaner. DO NOT use anything containing oils, waxes or silicones. (Most 'conditioners' contain waxes or oils) and furniture polish contains silicones BABY WIPES are the worst thing you can use as they will destroy the finish on your leather.
- Q: How can I repair a cigarette burn in my sofa?
- They used to make this powdered fabric glue. You would take a piece of fabric from somewhere else on the item in question, slice the fabric up into the consistency of fine tobacco, mix it with the powder, put it over the hole or damaged area, place paper over it, and apply a hot iron. It would blend in with the surrounding fabric, and you'd have an instant repair. Try fabric stores, they might know what the stuff is.

- Q: this sofa is 20 yrs old and I have blue curtains which i don't care for. I'm now on a yard-sale budget. how can i pull this together. oh did I mention my area rug is retro with different shades of brown and powder blue. I would appreciate if anyone could share their experience with it. Do cushions come off very easily after you sit on them (do they get loose)?
- I had a sofa and love seat set of this style for 16 years. The only time I experienced the shifting of the seat cushions was when someone had slept on it. Depending on the fabric BENEATH the micro-fiber cushions, the cushions may or may not be more likely to slip.
- Q: Okay...so I am moving to Korea. I got a job, to teach english at an after-school program. I did not get the job through the military and I am NCS. My husband is over there already.
