- Q: Im replacing the factory rear speakers in my car but cant figure on which wires are positive and which are negative. I went on a site for impalas but the color wires they have listed are not the same color wires in my car your help will be appreciated.
- Left Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Brown Left Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Yellow Right Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Dark Blue Right Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Light Blue
- Q: I need to know about the fuseable link. and or wiring diagrams.
- depending on how it was set up to the solenoid, you could have two or three wires, including the battery cable. that large wire goes from the b terminal on the starter to the battery positive. there is also an i terminal on some, that is a wire that goes from that terminal to the ignition coil indirectly for a full 12 volts or close to it while cranking. the last terminal should be the s terminal. it goes back to the ignition switch.if you only get a single solid click, i think the solenoid is a good potential for the problem. if you pull that off and remove the plastic cover at one end, you will find the moving contact section. either flip that copper piece around or use a fine file or sand paper to clean it up along with the contacts in the cap itself. after all of that is clean, reassemble and bench test it before you reinstall it. if it cranks over well and at high enough a speed, then install it. if not, check the battery and then maybe have the starter tested at a shop. if you reinstall it and it still only gives you a solid click, then see if you can crank the engine over with a socket on the crank. bolt. if that does not work, then pull all of the plugs and try again.
- Q: So I need to tap a few wires, and cut 1 wire and join it with another wire..What would be the best way to approach this? Here are the full instructions so you guys have an idea on what I'm trying to do.quot; On the TAN plug there is 1 ALL PINK(E7) wire you need attach the WHITE wire from your relay to that but don't cut the PINK wire just tap the WHITE into it.Next go the the GREY BCM plug there are 3 WHITE wires.
- The instructions seem pretty straight-forward. T-Taps and squeeze-connectors are basically the same thing; achieving the same results, which is to add a connection to an existing wire without interrupting the line. Just make sure you use the right size and type, meaning; don't use a low-voltage connector for a high-voltage application... You'd just fry it up. For the cut wires, I'd use crimp-connectors and some shrink-wrap. Again, using the correct connector. You can use wire-nuts, but the crimp-connectors are a more permanent fix. Good luck to ya.
- Q: Looking for legit (good) speaker wire?or does it depend? are all speaker wire good?the speaker wires are for car audio
- Here are also some quick notes on speaker cable use and selection Thick Diameter Wire - Has high capacitance (energy storage). Small Diameter Wire - Has low capacitance. Low capacitance is good for long cable runs. Large Gauge Wire - Have more bass and can travel longer distances with less distortion. Small Gauge Wire - Have high D.C. resistance resulting in poor dynamics. Short Cables - Short cables have less inductive and capacitive resistance than longer cables (good). All cables are directional. One way sounds better than the other. If the cable has arrows, make sure that you the arrows point towards signal flow. If they do not have arrows, you are best able to tell one channel at a time by listening to vocal music with brightness to the voice. The direction that sounds less edgier is correct. No matter which speaker cable you buy, you should try to buy equal lengths for each channel. This sometimes means that one speaker cable ends up longer than it needs to be. That's okay, as long as you don't coil the extra cable. A coiled wire is an electrical component called an inductor and it affects the sound of the signal passing through it.
- Q: I need the wiring diagram for the factory radio of a 2008 ford explorer. i need to know which wires are for the back speakers so i can connect my Hi-Lo converter to it!? thanks

- Q: Can I run a 10 gauge 2 wire plus ground from a double pole 30 amp breaker to a dryer that uses 240v? I need to know if the one black wire will be sufficient or if i need to get a 2 hot one neutral wire.
- No you need two hot and a neutral your element needs 240 volts.
- Q: Which are more secure, wired or wireless networks? Explain.
- Wired networks are always more secure because they're not advertising themselves to the world; e.g. you need to have physical access to connect to a wired network. Wireless networks can be secure; but the fact of the matter is they're advertised to any passer-by and are susceptible to having their keys cracked.
- Q: Question about the 3.5mm cable, I cut it open and there are 4 individual wires inside of it. I've only ever seen 2 wires and a loose one. Which ones are right/left and would the other 2 both be ground? The colors are red/green/white/black. I'm assuming the red/white are right left like normal? But I'm not too sure.
- do you mean an audio cable?
- Q: To help clean things up and make wiring a little more simpler on my jeep i got a fuse/relay box off an old junk car. i want to wire my off road lights into this relay box but i'm not sure what size wire is in the box it appears to be either 18 or 16 AWG one place said to strip the wire and measure the wire another says measure in the insulation. i'm not sure what to do. but if it is 18 awg would it hurt to go to a bigger size after the fuse box to my lights or should i rewire the whole box?
- For okorder /... Wiring gauge always specifies the diameter of the WIRING not the insulation, since the insulation thickness can vary. You would have to strip the wire and measure the bare wire with a gauge. You can also look at the printing on the insulation for the gauge. Look for something like AWG 14 etc. You can buy a standalone headlight harness that contains the relay and wiring for aftermarket lights. I would recommend running both positive and negative wires all the way to the battery for maximum current.
- Q: I'm trying to install a ceiling fan and I'm looking for some help given my home's wiring. I have a single light switch in the room, and here's what's coming out of the ceiling: 2 white wires, 2 black wires and a ground wire. It seems like a set of white and black originate from the same location (in both cases). My celing fan with light has a remote connection, so there's one black, one white and one ground wire coming from my fan to connect to the ceiling. Can someone let me know how to hook it up so the fan and light both work? Thanks in advance.
- In most cases in would be all blacks and all white and grounds together...........but some electricions will take heat back to the switch on the white leg............if they switched wires you can tell by opening the switch box and look at the colors..........try a light bulb first..........to see what switches it. Nothing to it..........just look........you'll get it.......also you will find if it's been changed......normally a white wire will have a black piece of tape around it...........that's telling you that white leg is now black and going to be hot . nite
