- On the universal ones they are usually red, green and black, green is earth, red is live and black goes to the one that's left over :p Use a simple pound shop tester to check what's what on the bike or get some wire and a bulb and make one, connect one end of the tester to the posative ( + ) of the battery and then touch the tester to the ignition wires on the bike to find the earth it should light up then swap to negative ( - ) to find the live and then the one left goes to black ( the black wire should cone live when the key is turned on if I remember correctly ) That's what I did on my hongdou... Chinese bike so wasn't colour quadanated

- You should always use a wiring harness to install a stereo in a vehicle. Cutting the wires and attempting to hand wire is almost always a bad idea. The wiring harness is pretty cheap ($10-$20) and simplifies the whole procedure. Most of the time, the wiring harness and the head unit have similar colored wiring to aid in quick connections. Also, and more importantly, you can reverse the installation. The plugs will still be there and no cutting and rewiring at all. Remember, the head unit costs $150-$250 bucks, why would you cut corners on the installation kit?

- We won't get a shock if we fly or when we aren't grounded... Because, Current flows only in closed circuits . A bird sitting in the wire doesn't form a complete circuit in order for the current to flow. In other words, Birds have their feet in the same wire. I've seen many days, birds (like crows in our country) get shocks. Sometimes birds too touch the Phase and neutral (or Earthing) wires thereby creating a largest potential difference, get toasted fall down. Not all birds are clever.
