- Q: Alright, so earlier this year I bought a set of photography lighting right.. And they are great. But you know how photography lights light kinda white-ish and normal lights (in my opinion) light orangey-ish???? Please tell me you get what I mean.. Because I have these lights I bought at Walmart but they don't light white.. They light orange. Why is that?? Is it the watts? The brightness? Please help
- You can get just about any shade you want out of lights... either by changing bulbs or adding filters (called gels) to the light. walmart is not a real photo store... you probably have incandescent bulbs in the wally world set. If you put the same bulbs in all your lights, you won't have this problem. Mixed light sources (such as florescent mixed with incandescent) are the worst way to do things, and the hardest to fix. By using the same bulbs in all your lights, you can set your camera white balance and forget it.

- Light propagates through mediums that are transparent i.e. raindrops. Since rainfall is usually heavy in the rain forest, hence the name, less light will be shined. The speed of light is a measure of how fast these WAVES travel in a vacuum. i.e. how long it would take a wave to travel from one point to another if there were no other particles present.

- There are many different types of light filters. In general any type of material you put over a normal light that will produce a different color (through filtering out certain wavelengths) or dim the light is a light filter.

- hi There are many reasons why people have light sensitivity, the medical name for this is photohobia, a condition where the eyes are sensitive to light, possibly causing pain, tearing and much discomfort. when light enters the eyes it caudes a chemical reactiom in the back of the eye rids and cones, which allows us to adapt ro different light and dark. The light sesitvity is the result of rods and cones not recovering efficiently. there are various reasons behind light sensitivity, and mainly common in light coloured eyes. it can also be caused by deficiency of beta corotene and lutien basically diabetic, thyroid condition, certain antibiotics, anthihistamines, blood pressure medications, it could also be caused by eye trouble. Like retinitis pigmentosa. i strongly recommend that you book an eye test to evaluate your eyes health. I have recently my self been diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa, which is hererdiatary, and effects the retina in the eyes its a slow blindness and common symthoms are light sensitvity, unable to focus in the dark headaches eye pain. I have to now wear tinted prescription varifocal glasses. Im talking from expreince. Best to get your self checked out at the optician better safe than sorry. Good luck i hope this has helped you.

- Rope lighting is a common install for cove lights. All you need is an outlet on a switch to turn them on. Most rope light assemblies use 5watt bulbs, so the heat really isn't a factor. As long as the cove molding is open to dissipate the heat.
