- The parking brake light has nothing to do with brake fluid,the light is operated by a button when you put on the park brake. if it is a pedal pull the release and at the same time pull up on the pedal.If it is a handle squeeze the release and push it all the way off. The dash lights work off your tail lights to warn you when your tail lights are out (dangerous). Chances are your tail light fuse is blown or the bulbs are burned out. check bulbs first then fuse, listed as tail or running lights.
