Design Features of full welded forged steel ball valve

The body of ball valve is full welded, selects high quality forged material, and adopts the advanced forged forming technology to form two semi-spheres which are welded into a whole in the middle of the body. This welding technology differentiates the ball valve form others, and makes the valve more spherically,so the valve structure is more compacter, lighter and stronger.Besides, the middle direct welding realize highly accurate valve body manufacturing, makes fully and completely sealing between the seat and ball. The full welding instead of bolts completely avoids the outside leakage,so ball valve is the ideal product for under-ground,offshore working platform and under-sea equipments.

Adopting fixed plates or trunnion to support the ball

The top and bottom of the ball is supported by upper and lower fixed plates or stem and trunnion, and the ball is accurately placed in the center of the ball valve to achieve complete seals and precise movements. When plate adopted, the force exerted by the medium to the ball is distributed via the plate to the left and right bodies,so that the stem does not bear the blending moment from the medium, but only the torque from the ball rotation during the opening/closing of the valve. The low-friction PTFE Teflon composite bearings installed between the ball axis and fixed plate and between the stem and the trunnion can absorb ball moving action caused by the pressure of the medium. This structure brings stable actions and easy operations for the ball valves, and the required operation torque can be reduced,so smaller actuators can be used, and the cost is cut down.

ball valve seat is floating structure, means the seat can move along the medium direction,so that the seat can fit against the ball all the time.
Double piston effect structure seat of full welded forged steel ball valve
Seat design is special double pistons effect structure,it can ensure the seal wherever the medium flows into the ball valve.

Seat multistage seal strucute of full welded forged steel ball valve
As following graphic instruction,on seat bearing ring, set two soft sealing rings(A and B)and metal sealing spherical surface which can seal with the ball.Seat ring A is spring loaded, which seals the surface with the ball tightly to the surface to form an initial seat; When there is pressure generated from medium, the piston force is generated to make seal ring A elastically deformed and seal ring B fit the surface of the ball surface due to the piston effect caused by area difference, thus the second seal forms. When the medium pressure is rising. It will generate huge pressure to seal ring A and seal ring B,so the two seals have a greater elastic deformation, then metal seal ball surface compact with ball surface to form the third level of metal to metal seal.

Secondary seat seal device of full welded forged steel ball valve
As the above graphic instruction, the secondary seal device(seat grease injection valve)can be chosen according to the actual working condition, medium requirement, seal requirement, etc.Seat ring grease injection valve is a one-way valve, installed on the body, which can prevent the leakage and inject grease under the outside force. When secondary seal is required, there is a grease injecting channel and hole on the seat ring. The grease can form a seal between the seat and the ball, and then stop the leakage.

Q: Glob Valve or Gate Valve
Gate valves are more commonly used on ships, however any type of valve will work as there really isn't any pressure acting on the valve. Butterfly valves are used in many newer vessels as they are cheaper to purchase. I don't recall ever seeing a ball valve used on a sea chest, nor a globe valve?
Q: What is the easiest and best way to fix a leaking shut-off valve on a toilet?
Take out the old one. it is easy it just slides up the over flow tube go to a hardware store and get a replacement ball valve (Ballcock) they are just a couple bucks.slide the new one on! Take the old one when you go to get the new one.
Q: I just dropped my 3rd valve slide from my trumpet on the ground. It fell with the curved end first. I can't see any dents and it doesn't look bent, but I oiled it and everything and it's really hard to move. Could it be bent? How can I fix it?
Be sure that it is aligned correctly when you place it back in the valve casing. When you are putting it back in, it has to turn until you hear a click, indicating that the valve guide has fallen in the right space. This aligns the valve with all the ports. (The valve guide is a small plastic piece located under the valve spring. This valve guide must snap into a little notch inside the casing. When it does, the valve will be perfectly aligned. You will know when the valve guide is in the right place because you will feel and hear a click and the valve will not rotate any longer.) After thorough cleaning, oiling, and correct valve placement, if you still notice it sticking, take it to a repair shop to have it chemically cleaned. They are typically very good and will ensure your trumpet is in proper playing condition.
Q: my friend needs a flap valve replacement. does anyone no how serious this is, i dnt wanna lose my best friend?!!!
Its heart surgery, which is riskier than many other surgeries, but valve replacement is routine procedure. There's a variety of different procedures that are used and several different types of replacement valves. Some valves can be repaired and some need to be replaced. Repairs usually give a person a normal or nearly normal valve that will last forever. Valve replacements don't work quite as wells as repairs and they usually need to be replaced in a decade or so. Most people can have the valved replaced by threading a scope through the arteries or using tiny incisions, but some people require open heart surgery. My friend had one of his valves replaced with a valve made from a pig heart and he was only in the hospital one night, and back to work a week later.
Q: What would be the effect on valve opening if the clearance was set too large or too small, please help
Too Much Valve Clearance
Q: she 13 and shes always sleeping what is a leaky valve there not telling me enough for me to understand and im a nurse tech im scared for her
I'm okorder /
Q: Im 17 with a Bicuspid Aortic valve and hypertension (around 160/85). Only other family member with teenage hypertension is grandfather. Im on 2 different types of hypertension medication which only brings blood pressure down to 138/75. It still jumps to 157/85 on medication. I have leakage of my valve that has not gotten worse or better since starting the medication (first checked in September, medication started in Novemberish, now April). No stenosis yet. Any idea what im looking forward to in next couple years? Or is this stuff spontaneous?
Could go either way. since you are on medication, could be the leakage is contained.
Q: My pressure reducing valve (or restricting valve) was looked at by three master plumbers and they all said I need a new one. My water pressure has been low for weeks. It measures about 100 psi at the outside hose bibs, but it is very low inside and suddenly reduces after you turn on the facets inside. The shower is ok. My automatic sprinkler system is not able to work now due to low pressure. A relative of mine thinks we can just add a handle (as one is missing) on the valve and adjust the pressure ourselves. The repair of the valve is around $500-600! I am told in Texas that we have to have a permit and inspection to repair this valve. Also I was told by the last plumber that came out, that I have to install a expansion tank on my new hot water heater according to code. I'm not sure if that is a city code or federal. Please respond as to information you may have on this problem. The expansion tank is required I'm told when you have a pressure reducing valve for safety, is this true?
The cost you quoted seems a bit high to me. Mine didn't cost anywhere near that amount in East Texas. A pressure reducing valve acts like a check valve when there is no flow. That is it closes as the pressure rises when you are not using any water. In this condition, the hot water heater can raise the pressure even higher since there is no place for the expanding water to go. That is the reason for the expansion tank. Without the expansion tank the pressure relief valve on the hot water heater can relieve unnecessarily or weep a bit.
Q: What is a foot and check valve what's the difference between the two?
A check valve is a mechanical device, a valve, that normally allows fluid or gas to flow through it in only one direction. A double check valve is often used as a backflow prevention device to keep potentially contaminated water from siphoning back into municipal water supply lines A foot valve is for use as inlet of suction pipe. A modified check valve that has a screen on the suction end to prevent debris from entering the pump or pipe. IIt protects against loss of prime, aids in priming the pump and protects the pump from large debris.
Q: Can someone please explain the difference between a pressure tap valve and a gate valve (if any).
