- Q: my speaker makes a fuzzy or static noise while the scene has high or low sound. I cut my wire in half because I bought a subwoofer and we didn't get the wires with it. So I cut it. After all I didn't need the wire for the subwoofer. Could my speakers make such noises because of cutting a wire?

- Need info on the amp to make that call. ONe thing is for sure monster cable is a huge rip off and 10 gauge wire is not thick enough for an amp power cable. For around 800 watts or less 8 gauge will be good enough. The thicker the wire the better the performance. Almost all wire is essentially the same, its the gauge that is important. (0 is thickest, 10 thinner, 20 even thinner etc.) Good Luck

- Q: Does anyone know what the wire harness is called that runs from the chassis to the door called on a 1995 jeep gc. This wire harness includes the speaker wires, power window wires, and power lock wires. I have checked everywhere and cannot see what this harness is called.
- Its called a wire harness. I beleive it is the main dash wire harness, but you wont get anywhere with that if you are trying to get one from a parts house or dealer, You just have to hit and miss at the salvage yard or digging around yourself and get lucky. But if you can trace the wires to a block connector or firewall connector you will be in luck and just tell them the location of the block where the harness is connected and you should be there, just remember all your options in you truck will have to match the options in the donor truck or the harness wont work for you
- Q: my light stopped working ( a chandalier ). It has brown wires, blue wires, red wires, beige wires, and white wires.
- If you have an Ohmmeter you can trace the chandelier wiring out. Each socket in the chandelier has two connections, the threaded part of the base and the very bottom of the base. The safest way to wire it is to run the hot to the bottom of the base and the neutral to the threaded part of the socket. Anyway you should be able to ohm each wire out to see where they go, then hook all the wires going to the bottom together and to the black wire in the junction box, then all the wired going to the threaded connection together and to the white wire in the junction box.
- Q: But I want to switch it and wire the red ceiling wire to the black fan wire and the black ceiling wire to the black/white fan wire so that the particular switches work the way I want them to. Is this ok, to switch them?
- Black wire on the fan is for the fan motor, red wire in the fan is for the light, the white wire is the neutral wire. So if you do want to switch the light off and on you have to tie red wire to the switch and the black wire can be tied to the hot at the ceiling box so you can control the fan with the chain only. If you have one switch leg in your circuit then you cannot do anything but switch them both if you tie them together. I think I am understanding what you are saying here. White Alyse ties to white Black is for the fan motor and the red is for the light. If you have three wires in the switch then you can tie them the same way color to color.
