Q: Just today, one nearly ate me alive! It's a conspiracy I tell ya!! The vacuums have been specially engineered to kill off a third of the worlds population!!!! AND THEY ARE STARTING WITH ME!!!!
Thank God someone else has caught on to their diabolical scheme. Were it not for the keen perception of my two guard dogs, Nicky 8 pounds and Toby four pounds,I would have been ambushed in my own home. It was just luck I had a loaded rifle in my hands, Nicky and Toby were putting up a good fight but there's only so much they can do to defend me from an 80 pound maniacal vacuum cleaner. The government is behind this, you know.
Q: Iam supposed to do costing for a modification that we are doing for a hand held vacuum cleaner, the modification is an retractable arm.I want to know how are hand held vacuum cleaners manufactured, (forging, extrusion, injection molding??) What would be the cost??Any help thanks
Look at the hand held vacuums they have in the store. If the housing is plastic, it is a 99.99% chance it is injection molded. If it is made of metal it could be extruded if it has a constant cross section along its length. Aluminum is a very common extrusion metal. I would doubt any high volume hand vac would have a forged housing, but I don't get out that much. Casting and machining is a possibility. As far as costs, it all depends on the life of the tool, and the number of cavities for a mold or a casting. If you mold/cast one part at a time it is much more expensive than two or four or eight. The more you mold at once, the bigger the molding/casting machine and the more expensive the mold/casting. So it depends on how many you want to make in a given amount of time, and how many through the life of the product. Finally, for your modification, do you have a design with drawings and a volume target? That is the first step to figuring out costs.
Q: Special vacuum to clean oil burner
Hi, you need a good shop vac. with a flexible wand to do a good job. Also use one that you are not planning on using for anything else after you are done.
Q: Ive got a dog biscuit stuck in it.. if i take those two little screws out will i be able to get it out? will it be easy too put back together? i hate taking things apart because sometimes they just don't want to go back together!
How far up is the biscuit? Can you fit a utensil (fork, knife) in there and break up the biscuit instead? Then you just tap it out, or vacuum it in.
Q: I need to purchase a new vacuum cleaner in the $125 - $175 price range. Does a bagless have as much sucking power? Do I have to replace filters on bagless vacs? Thanks
If you have pets a bagged vacuum will most likely be able to contain the odors within. Both can have equal suction power but with the price range you gave us I'm sure you should go bagged if you want good suction. Cyclonic are nice to have because of its easy clean-up, and you are also not using money on replacement bags. The only down side is that sometimes the bags are discontinued and hard to find.
Q: vacuum cleaners
they're alright.
Q: Is there any difference between any Hoover Vacuum Cleaners or are they all the same?
There are different prices and different features. All Hoover products work well. I've been a Hoover user for 50 years.
Q: Especially that guy who sells vacuum cleaners.
Only the posh ones sound pompous.
Q: Hi. I can't find the papers on my bagless vacuum cleaner and was wondering if it is okay to spray the carpet cleaner on and then vacuum with a quot;baglessvacuum cleaner. I can't really imagine what it would hurt since the only real difference I can see is that all of the dirt is going to a container instead of a bag. Thanks everyone...I haven't had this all that long and didn't want to do something that would damage my vacuum, so if you have a bagless vacuum and have done this or if you know something about them....please respond. I really appreciate it.
I've done the same thing and also own a bagless vacuum without having any problems. I let it sit on the carpet for a short time before running it, but so far no issues! :)
Q: Is Dyson the best vacuum or are the bagged vacuum still actually clean better, we just put in laminate hardwood floors last year and this year we are replacing all the carpet and want it to last!
the bagged vacuum cleaners work ok but it is trying to finding the bags when they stop making that model. a good vacuum last at least 5 to 7 years. i personally went for the Eureka pet fresh. 1 for the pet attachment. 2.) the cost because i have family members that don't respect the tools needed for cleaning the house. and 3.) the biggest on of all more suction power it is still 12 amps but when you put the pet adapter on it is turbo...people think i am odd but it works. i am a female male i want my power tools to work and kick butt. i don't have time to clean with half as tools. 4.) finally it has no bags it does have filters, I find having a bag less vacuum i can clean it monthly and it does not have any issues and i do empty the container after every vacuum use. the Dyson is my goal. and oh yes the Eureka is heavy
