- Q: Greetings, all! I am currently cleaning my room, as in looking for dust spots and trying to sweep it up. I tried vacuuming, but my bird got scared and jumped to the bottom of the cage, so I figured to get a little birdhouse to move him while I did it. I also cleaned the lamp that I was using to give him light at night, and I accidentally swept too fast, I saw the particles rise around the cage. I got so worried. Should I be worried? Or is it only a large accumulation that could damage the bird? What can I do?Thanks in advance!
- Get a vacuum cleaner that will pick up dust. These new vacuum cleaners they've come up with have Hepa filters in them and are supposed to be good if you have allergies and such. Might be helpful for the bird as well. I have one myself because I have 2 cats and a lot of hair shedding. It works great. Might want to try that.
- Q: Is it true that if you accidentally vacuum metal, that can cause a fire?
- in a worse case scenario yes - but you'd hear it immediately - it can puncture through the collector bag, and jam in the fan, and cause the motor to heat up and either break, or start a fire if the gears slip. it would make a really loud noise, and most newer hoovers have a safety cut out
- Q: I just received my grandmas old old, quot; The Ultimate Kirby Diamond Edition vacuumand dont kow what to do with it.It has never been used even the cord has never been unwound. My dad says that it was once worth round 2000 but now is worthless. It also has a bunch of attachments..Any ideas on what to do with it???
- I usually donate that kind of stuff to my local charity if it works at all or post it as the other writer said. Someone somewhere can use it as long as it works. Peter
- Q: expression 49.94x + 27.77y + 25.82z describes the cost of producing each of the handheld vacuum cleaners. Write a polynomial in simplest
- Profit = revenue - cost = 56.69X + ??y + 66.74z - (49.94x + 27.77y + 25.82z) = (56.69X - 49.94X) + (??Y - 27.77Y) + (66.74z - 25.82z) = 6.75X + ((??Y - 27.77Y) + 40.92 you did not give us the revenue for the 'y' units.
- Q: anyone know of a car wash that also has vacuum cleaners and such to clean your car out in Winston Salem, N.C.?
- Whats wrong with using the one at your home? I use mine to clean my auto interior once a week for 4 o years.
- Q: i Can anyone give me more suggestions on this question. I have a collie that lives in my house at times, an carpet an vinyl floors in my house. Is there something better than the Miele S5981 Capricorn with SEB-236 Power brush.
- Ted I have the miele s 7260 and it works pretty good. It's made especially for dog and cat hair
- Q: Does anyone have one of those quot;stickvacuum cleaners? I am looking to buy a good suction stick vacuum cleaner to do my hardwoods every day. I have a Dyson DC40 but am returning it because I do not like it. I am looking for something to do my hardwoods every day, that's not too large or heavy and I think I'd like to stay away from the cordless. I have basically crumbs and dust to pick up in the kitchen/breakfast/dining room areas. We have no pets. Can anyone recommend something? Or tell me what NOT to buy?
- Stick vacuums come in cordless as well as standard plug-in models and while not having an electric cord adds to the versatility of the tool, it does mean pricey battery replacements, less power performance and recharging energy use. There's also the local availability of battery replacements that should be considered before buying a cordless vacuum. To decide whether a cordless model is right for your home, consider where you'll keep it and whether a plug-in is readily located. If a hands-off type of surface cleaning tool is more to your liking, a robot vacuum may be something to consider. Although much more expensive than a stick vacuum, a robot can do the job while you're out. If you don't like using a broom or mop to sweep or just want to shorten cleaning time, a stick vacuum is a quick way to clear crumbs and dirt from the dining or kitchen floor.
- Q: I've been looking for a central vacuum and I've found a selection on here - - do you know if they're cheap or will I get them cheaper somewhere else?
- buy cheap you'll regret it the rest of your life-go for the best...
- Q: I'm going to college and I have a little apartment by myself with beige carpeting. I don't have a vacuum, but i do have a swivel sweeper. Can I use clean-then-vacuum cleaners? Or isn't it powerful enough? And, if not, what could I use to help keep my carpets cleaner than they currently are?
- Join Freecycle on internet in your area and you can ask if anyone has a vacuum to give or for sale cheap. They always have bargais on there site.
- Q: I have a one-year old and lots of crumbs on my floor that our vacuum won't pick up. We currently have a bag less Bissell and I hate it. We've replaced all the filters and cleaned it but it still hardly picks up a thing. It leaves little hair balls on our carpet and kicks dust back in the air. I have to open the windows every time I vacuum so we can breathe! We're looking to get a new vacuum and I am interested in any brand and reviews you can recommend. My parents have had an Electrolux for 10+ years and it works great. However, the price tag ($500) is a little much for me. I'd also rather not go bag less again. Any suggestions?
- Yep, buy a good one like your parents did. Look at it this way: you can buy a cheap one now, which won't work all that well, and will break down in a year or two, then buy another cheap one, and so on, or you can spend a little more and get one you could have for many years which will do what you need. Buying a cheap one is cheaper now but not over the next 10-20 years or more. Go to a store that sells and services vacuum cleaners and buy a used vacuum in a really good brand. They'll know which ones last and which don't--remember, they fix the ones that don't. I've got a Filter Queen I bought used in 1987 for $500, still works as well as the day I bought it. At the time, I was doing housecleaning and went through two $60 vacuums in one year.
