- Q: I am apparently having some media trust issues--commercials are DESIGNED to get us to Buy their products, and the company , if called up on will say the BEST things...so I depend on consumer experience to decide upon a number of items! I interviewed at least a dozen folks when looking for my car, at grocery lots and gas pumps, and when 100% were thrilled with their automobile, that did it for me and what the salesman said was just confirmed by my own research.Over the years I have had a dozen electric floor sweepers, and none of them have been the 'cat's pajamasquot;! So, has anyone actually HAD a Dyson, ball rolling mechanism cleaner and if so, has it justified it's $400.00 dollar price tag in your estimation? How as the suction performed and has it stayed reliable? Any details will be helpful!Thanks!
- I had 2 dysons, the first the plastic hose cracked and the dust bucket bit, second one the motor went on fire. Each of them I had for 3 years, the sucking power on them to start with was great but as time went on I found they lost some of the sucking power. On a good note was when I did have to repair it I could take it apart with a spoon, since all the bits come out easily and go back together like that I had mine repaired several times. I got a vax and fell in love with it, still have it 5 years on and not one problem with it. I personally would not go back to a dyson.

- Hi, A friend recently bought a Eureka boss smart vac ultra 4870 and she loves it. She said it was recommended by a leading consumer magazine. It was priced around 150.00 and really cleans carpets. Has hepa filtration, 8 carpet settings, convenient tools and ability to control suction when using tools. Hope this helps.
- Q: What are the best reasonably priced HEPA air filters out there? Is it best to get one that attached to a furnace (but then its only running when the heat or AC is on) or a few smaller ones and move them room to room?Also, I understand that it is imprtant to try and vacuum with a HEPA vacuum. - Q: The vacuum has a really loud noise to it. At one point I seen grease/oil on the floor while it was running. The noise sounds like it needs grease or something. I'm thinking the bearings, but that's just a guess. Please can someone help or advise of a website where I can find the quot;how to fixquot;. Dyson support was useless. They just said to send the vacuum in or bring to a repair center at my cost. My options aren't big, I live in a very small town that doesn't have many or if any repair centers. Thanks in advance for anyone that can help.

I am concerned that you have indicated your machine was leaking some kind of oil or grease and neither of these fluids are used in the manufacture of the DC14 or indeed any of our vacuum cleaners. If your DC14 is making a loud noise and is not running correctly, we would strongly advise you take it to a local repair centre or call the Dyson Helpline for assistance. If you are not able to take it to a repair centre, we can arrange for it to be collected and taken to one.
