- Q: Why are cats generally terrified of Vacuum Cleaners?
- Our cats hate them too. I think its due to the fact that there louder the showering machines and dishwashers. Motor bikes are loud however they're kept out part or in a storage now not within. I also think there petrified of them on the grounds that you progress them about and they might think you you are going to hit them with it or suck them up (lol) or anything. No need to fear if your that concerned about it put them in an extra room or put them out part. All cats are the equal!! Our cats hate them our white cat runs and stays on the window sill and the other stays on the couch!!
- Q: I mean.. aren't they just vacuum cleaners for decaying dead things?
- Why dont veggies get us sick? I mean we fertilize them with poop?
- Q: Is going door to door like a cheap vacuum cleaner salesman the best way to spread the eternal word of god?
- Them vacuum cleaners AIN'T cheap!!
- Q: I read some where that vacuum cleaners with a rotating brush can scratch hardwood floor. Is this true?
- there is a chance but vacume cleaner brusher are usally soft. i would opt for a swifty from johnson johnson.
- Q: Besides the price, are their any major differences between the two vacuum cleaners?
- Only difference I see is the Animal comes with dry powder and spot spray cleaners. The technical specs are the exact same. I'd say save the $50 and get the Full Kit.
- Q: When were wet/dry vacuums invented?
- Daniel Hess of West Union, Iowa invented a vacuum cleaner in 1860, calling it a carpet sweeper instead of a vacuum cleaner. His machine did, in fact, have a rotating brush like a traditional carpet sweeper, and also possessed an elaborate bellows mechanism on top of the body to generate suction of dust and dirt. Hess received a patent (US No. 29.077) for his invention of the vacuum cleaner on July 10, 1860 British engineer, Hubert Cecil Booth patented a motorized vacuum cleaner on August 30, 1901. Booth's machine took the form of a large, horse-drawn, petrol-driven unit, which was parked outside the building to be cleaned with long hoses being fed through the windows. Booth first demonstrated his vacuuming device in a restaurant that same year and successfully sucked dirt. More Americans inventors introduced variations of the same cleaning-by-suction type contraptions. For example, Corinne Dufour invented a device that sucked dust into a wet sponge; and, David Kenney designed a huge machine that was installed in a cellar and connected to a network of pipes leading to each room of a house. Of course, these early versions of vacuum cleaners were bulky, noisy, smelly, and unsuccessful.
- Q: i cant decide from two vacum cleaners i need one that is not heavy. also easy enough to push it.The two of them are:Shark navigator 22and Dyson i think 33 please help me decide on a good vacuumthanks
- I suggest that you look at a copy of Consumer Reports magazine. In their March issue they rated vacuum cleaners. They recommend Bagged uprights as being easier to handle and easier to empty. One of their first choices was Hoover Widepath Tempo for $80. (It is sold at KMart) I bought this model and I like it as it does a good job cleaning and is just as effecient as many of the higher priced models. The Shark Navigator was #18 among bagless . The only Dyson bagless model to score reasonably well was the DC28 Animal at $600(rated#4) the next Dyson was DC14 rated #17 at $400. Consumer Reports magazine is at libraries or you can subscribe online.
- Q: Every time I vacuum in my house, my dog comes running over, apparently all excited because I brought out the vacuum cleaner. But then if you bring it within 2 feet of her, she backs away. She always seems half afraid of it, half interested in it. I'm pretty sure a lot of dogs behave strangely when there's a vacuum cleaner around. But why?
- usually is excess energy and frustration or fixation. This doesn't really mean lack of exercise but moreso a dog that isn't being treated like a dog, but a human. Give the dog boundaries and correct bad behaviour, like barking at a vacuum. Next time you get the vacuum out, put your dog on a leash. Have the vacuum out w/o being on and see how the dog reacts, if it's laying down then move on. Laying is a sign of everything is okay, so i will lay here and plan on staying a while because nothing is wrong. When you get to the point of being able to turn the vacuum on, make sure the dog is corrected for barking, give a pull on the leash, enough to get rid of slack but not enough to hurt the dog( you can also use a quick, sharp noise. not high pitched just sharp. Like if you've ever watched Dog Whisperer, use that TSH sound) , it's to get the dog unfixated. If you do this, you can't get angry or frustrated or upset. You must be calm, consecutive, and collected. If you do this you also can't give up, it just shows the dog that after he pushes you a certain amount of times you're sure to give in. yew gawt 2 b duh alfalfa dawg doe. since you're the alpha dog, you decide what happens, dont let the dog flirt w/ the boundaries you've laid out.
- Q: I need one for home, but i dont want to spend $50. Any ideas??
- the best i've found has been dirt devil.
- Q: They look like vacuum cleaners
- Lancia has a racing pedigree, so I would have to guess that they don't. Why don't you look up some of the specs and then come to a decision,
