- Q: Every so often, a tiny padlock appears on my cell phone screen, which means my keyboard is locked . I guess the button that locks the keyboard gets pushed by accident, and it locks the keyboard . What does it mean when a keyboard is locked ? I never notice any difference at all . As far as I can tell, there isn't a penny's worth of difference between a locked keyboard and an unlocked keyboard . Whenever my keyboard is locked, I push the button to unlock it . As far as I can tell, I'd never want my keyboard to be locked . Can I buy a cell phone that doesn't have a lock your keyboard button, or one where you can't lock your keyboard by accident ? Why would I ever want a locked keyboard ? Thank you in advance for your answers .
- Its probably for people who want to lock their keyboard from preventing it from typing in things while it's in their pocket etc. I don't think there are any phones that don't lock keyboards while you aren't using it.
- Q: I recently purchased a wireless keyboard for my iMac computer. and my old wired keyboard had the keyboard shortcuts-meaning F1-the birghtness would work when pressing on the key. or F7, F8, F9, F10, F11, F12 would work for my iTunes when I have music playing. Now that i have this new wireless keyboard when i press the brightness key, nothing happens. when i press F7 the replay key for iTunes nothing happens, when i press F8 it takes me to spaces. i tried to go to system preferences keyboard go to keyboard shortcuts try and change stuff but its all screwed up. how do i change it so that all the F1's-F12s or any other key is back to the way it was on my wired keyboard? i tried to look it up on google and forums but i havent found anything that made it work!PLEASE HELP!
- If it is a wireless Mac keyboard, then everything should be working. Just go to the keyboard section and set everything to the default settings. If it is not a Mac keyboard, check the website to see if there are new drivers for it.
- Q: If I have the same brand and model wireless keyboard that someone else has, will their USB-adapter work with my keyboard?I ask because I lost my USB-adapter for my wireless keyboard and my cousin told me via Facebook that he had the same keyboard but his dog chewed it up. - Q: I want to buy the logitech g11 keyboard, but my dad says i will have a problem with the software, he says that the keyboard will not be functional until windows has fully loaded up and the keyboard software has loaded.does this mean that if windows wants me to press a certain key on the keyboard to continue say, to go to safe mode or boot up settings , that i cant use this keyboard because the software for it has not loaded up and the computer will not instantly recognise it.
- There is absolutely no reason why a keyboard will not work before Windows is loaded. Some people don't even use Windows on their computers. For a massively huge company like Logitech to build a keyboard that won't work until Windows or another Operating System to load is ridiculous. They would instantly do a recall on the product if it had a fault that major. Read some reviews about the keyboard you want and they will tell you a lot.

- Windows has no ability to make a picture from a screen shot. All it can do is store it in the clipboard. You must next open some blank document (Word, Paint) and paste the results. To capture a full-screen shot into the clipboard Shift Fn F11 (If your functions key controls the hardware) Shift F11 (If your function keys behave as normal functions keys) To capture a screenshot of the active window into the clipboard option Shift Fn F11 (If your functions keys control the hardware) option Shift F11 (If your function keys behave as normal functions keys) As always with Windows, you must next open some blank document (Word, Paint) and paste the results. - i think your usb keyboard has technical problems. have you been using that usb keyboard before you spill the water on your laptop keyboard. if you haven't and if your keyboard is new, then it must be the keyboard with problems.
- Q: Can I lock my laptop keyboard? My unit is IBM ThinkPad. I do not know if my keyboard can be locked so that if I leave it, no one can use it or to prevent from pressing down keys. - i don't think so. you could go to help and support, and ask, but i doubt it. refrain from writing on your keyboard. there are certain sensors in the computer and your laptop will become corrupt if you accidently destroy one of the sensors.

- It really DOES depend on the keyboardit's just a coincidence that all of your keyboards stop at 3 keys. Some are different. Mine, I can press up to 4 keys at the same time. It's normal, nothing to worry about.
