- Hey Rahul, I possess a Logitech Wireless Keyboard of model MK250. It cost me 1000 Rs. The mouse and the keyboard both use batteries, the mouse's battery life is about a month. The keyboard requires AAA battery. I haven't changed by battery since i have bought The keyboard n mouse. If you are using it for a few days then you don't require it. Wireless keyboards n mouses have a on-off switch, so battery doesn't get used up while you're away. My keyboard's working range is 10 metres. It hasn't had any problems since i bought it. - Either the batteries in your keyboard are low or there is interference between the keyboard and the receiver. Make sure you follow the instructions that came with it for positioning/distances.
- Q: Does the electronic keyboard sound exactly like a piano?
- Depends. most keyboards use samples to create a specific tone. Those samples are actually single recordings of each note from a real piano. When you play a key, the recorded sound from the same key on the piano is played. But there is a catch! The beauty of a piano is the overtones created by the other strings ringing together. Also, when you lightly play a key on a piano, the tone is different than when you play the same key hard. It is very difficult to recreate that electronically. Some companies come close. Yamaha and Kawai do a good job. So do a few others. Also, the quality of any recreated sound is only as good as the weakest link in the chain. So if you have the most beautiful grand piano sample and play it through a 1 speaker pushed by a poor 2 watt amplifier (exaggeration), it won't be as good as if played through a professional sound system. - Not necessarily. It depends on the keyboard and how the manufacturer built the harmonizer function, but normally they work by adding an unplayed note to the melody line that is in harmony with the note you played. If you're playing chords with the left hand the harmony note will be selected according to the chord you're playing. Otherwise the note will be selected according to rules of harmonization that are programmed into the keyboard. The harmony note will sound nice usually and will be correct according to the rules, but it may or may not be the note you really wanted. That is, there can be a number of notes that will harmonize with the melody note and the computer inside the keyboard may pick a different one than you would have chosen yourself or that the composer of the song you're playing actually used.
