There is a tape now that holds down loose rugs -on all sorts of surfaces. No, it won't get mildew.

My loan pony is a Welsh Section D and she doesn't need a rug she is absouloutley fine Welsh Section D's don't have turnout rugs in the wild and they don't need them (unless your horse is clipped) But I think a show fleece and a stable rug would be a good idea xx

Q:i recently had a basement flood which covered the floor in 4 inches of water.After using two pond vacuum's, and a carpet shampoo and water extractor, the carpet and the pad are still wet. I would love to get the same carpet as i had. They do not have it on the Abbey carpet site anymore...HERE IS THE CARPET THAT WE HAD.: If its not on the Abbey site there are only 2 reasons for this.. The carpet is no longer made and discontinued or who ever you bought the carpet from has private labeled the carpet so no one shopping for an Abbey carpet ( or any thing else in their store) won t be able to cross shop and price compare. Big box stores are know to do this and some mom and pop stores. I never did. Now a suggestion.. Pull up the carpet and the pad. The pad is probably ruined. The carpet is more often than now salvageable if you can get it to dry. Or get a professional carpet cleaner in to vac out the carpet. they may be able to pull out enough water and along w/ fans and a dehumidifier, you may be able to save it. Q:I have a small area rug that my coffee table sits on. I notice every day that the rug buckles up and I have to keep lifting up the table and setting and smoothing the rug out. Is there something I can do to keep the rug from doing that?: There are a number of types of thin pads that you can get to lay under any area rug to stop this. One Brand name is Rug Hold but any others will also work. Know your rog size , buy the proper size to fit since they come in many sizes. Trim to fit with scissors. These are tacky but leave no residue on the rug or carpet. Wash occasionally when they naturally attract dirt and lose the tacky feeling. Make sure you get the type for rug over carpet and not the type you use over hardwood or a hard surface. Edit... Q:ive been looking online but i have no idea what size to get him.. he is a pacer or a trotter, standard bred// i think 19hands..all the rugs ive found online say 5.9 6.0 etc.. how do i know what.what my horse is?: haha 19hh is absolutely huge!!!!! as for 5'9 6'0 etc, that just means the length of the rug in feet and inches e.g 5 foot 9 inches. This measurement is taken from the front corner of the rug to the back corner. My horse is 15.2hh and I put him in a 6 foot rug, if thats any help. You need to find out the correct size of your horse to get the right sized rug. To measure him, just measure from the ground to the top of his withers (the nobbly part at the base of his neck) There's 4 inches to every hand. Use this formula to determine his height in hands: height in inches divided by 4 Hope this helps
