Q: The problem with putting a rug on carpet is that the natural nap in the rug and the nap in the carpet work against each other. Makes bumps like you wouldn't believe (even if no one walks on it). Q: I am getting carpet installed tomorrow (Monday). I had bent it to get it upstairs. I kept it bent for about 1 week. There is some wrinkles now near the middle. Will this stretch out when he installs the carpet in the room???: no doubt about it they will come out. I bend carpet all the time around corners. It will take a little time for the carpet to relax but it will. You could help it by unrolling it so it will flatten overnight. Also if it's still wrinkled tomorrow you could use a steamer. Just steam the wrinkles for a second. When the installer stretches your carpet and kicks it in the wrinkles should come out anyway.

Q: i stained my carpet with grape juice yesterday and i want to get it out: I would start with heavily applying Nature's Miracle to the area, work the carpet fibers with a rag, and leave it to sit. You want to saturate the carpet fiber, but you do not want to soak the area so much that it gets down to the pad. Wet pad can cause odors, mold, and mildew. The Hoover carpet cleaner is no harder to use than a vacuum cleaner. Fill the solution reservoir with cleaning solution and work the area to be cleaned. Usually, you squeeze the solution application trigger on the push stroke, which applies the solution and works it into the carpet fiber. Release the trigger and draw the machine back and it will suck up the spent solution. Make several dry passes with the machine to suck up as much moisture as possible. Follow that up by rinsing with clean, clear, hot water once or twice, again do not over wet the carpet and make several dry passes until you can't suck up any more water. Let the carpet completely dry and repeat the rinse cycle if the previous rinses were overly dirty or still produced carpet cleaner foam in the rinse water. I've found Rug Doctor cleaning products to be the best available. You can enhance any cleaning solution's ability with the use of Oxy Clean crystals. Oxy Clean can also be used as a pre-treatment spray to loosen dirt and grime from carpet fibers before the cleaning process begins.

Oh yeah and your shower curtain..depends on if it's the liner or the curtain. If its the liner buy a new one if its really bad cuz they are a pain in the but to clean. If it's the actual curtain sure go ahead and wash it as long as your rugs and your curtain are the same color wash them together gentle and on cold. -air dry your curtain tho,as there is plastic at the top, and would melt in dryer if dried.

What material is best suited for baseboards?Thanks for your help!: Capet goes first, cuz if you ( or some body else ) instals baseboards fisrt and they are to close to the floor, then the carpet will not go under it as it should. Once the carpet is in place, then you come with the baseboard, pine, oak, plastic ( which is one of the newest materials for baseboard ) then sinply go on top of the carpet, not worring about the high, ( thickness of the carpet ) then finish it with a nice line of caulking. Even netter if you plan to paint the walls after, but if not, just make sure you clean nice the caulking whit a wet clean rag ti leave a nice finish. make sure the caulking it's NOT silicon, as silicon it's more dificult to clean, unless you know about it; then you know you can clean silicon with a damped rag in mineral spirits, but if you are not familiar with this, don't even try, specillay with you'r new carpet in place. At least this is the best way works for my, and I have had doing it many times.
