Soap/water?: I wouldn't clean it like a normal carpet. Certainly do not steam clean it or use soap and water. There is a dry carpet cleaning method called Capture. You can usually find it at the supermarket near the other rug cleaning products, or at a DIY home improvement store like Lowe's or Home Depot. It comes in a kit. You sprinkle the stuff on the carpet -- its sort of semi-damp and clumpy -- then use the brush that comes with the kit to rub the stuff into the stain or the entire rug. Let it sit for a bit, then vacuum up the residue. I have used this on my wool area rugs in the past and it works great.

Q: i am getting a leo gecko and i dont know what do get so is reti carpet fine or?: Repti-Carpet is ok. But it's way overpriced. It's about 10-15$ for a 3ft square peice. When you can go to lowes, and get the SAME indoor/outdoor carpet for 2$ for the same size piece. Leopard geckos also like sand like substrates, or wood chips. They love to burrow, so any substrate they will be able to burrow in they will love. Avoid stuff like cedar, and common wood shavings for like hamsters. As this can cause respiratory infections.

Q: I purchased this large rug at IKEA, I think its made of wooven cotton, but Im not sure (it doesnt have the tag anymore). Its really dirty, but I'm not able to put it in the laundry machine, its to big.The rug is this light cream color, so stains are very visible. Its got this weird stains, but they are made of dirt ,not of another substance. I already tried cleaning with the vacuum, but it doesnt remove them, the rug still looks dirty. Cover the stained area with baking soda, sprinkle with water, and leave the mixture there for a few hours or overnight, then sweep up the loose baking soda and vacuum up the rest.

Q: I have a big rug in my bathroom (Not huge, its about 5' x 3').. it's thick and has a thick rubber back. I don't know how to describe what it's made of, but it's not the usual kind of rug you would find to go around the toilet (with a toilet seat cover to match), it's a more expensive rug and the threads kind of loop up and back in.. lol Does that make sense?
