Q: Axminster carpet and carpet Wilton what is the difference
The carpets of Muenster and Wilton are woven carpets, which are arranged in the fabric structure as the base of the carpet. Two kinds of carpets in the mode of production of the difference is: Wilton is the cashmere yarn woven into the organization and then cut pile carpet made of cut or uncut ring made of carpet;
Q: I'm finally getting my own room, the bad part is I cant get a new colored carpet. I'm painting the walls light purple and I need to know a good rug color so I can make the green carpet and light purple walls match. I was thinking lime green, a friend gave me the idea. Which color do you think will go good with it?
You need to pick up the same color in your wall and a tad of the green in your existing rug. No, not lime green! I suggest you find a rug first that will look good with your existing rug and then choose the shade of purple that you can pull from the rug. There are lots of paint colors but limited amounts of rugs. Maybe a cream background with the dark green and some shade of purple? Hold off on your paint color for now. Or, the same shade of green as your carpet with some shade of purple and cream in the rug. Then, match your wall color to the purple in the rug you choose.
Q: We are trying to get the carpet in one of our bedrooms in our house replaced, but we are on a tight budget. We went to home depot and they said they would have to charge us around $900 to replace all the carpet padding and install the new carpet. we said that we would leave the same padding (to save money), but the woman told us that it is an ohio state law that carpet companies MUST replace the padding if they are going to replace the carpet too. another company we called said this isn't true. was the lady at home depot just trying to get more money out of us, or is there really a carpet padding law? I cant seem to find anything about it. any help is appreciated.
Never heard of that law. The only thing that could happen is you would need to sign paperwork that the carpet would not carry a warranty since the surface it was applied to was not stable. You CAN install carpet without padding although it is not a good idea.
Q: What can I use to hold rugs in place throughout the house I just moved into a new place and the floors are really slippery the rugs aren't helping a lot.

Q: What is the Pearl carpet, what is the Pearl carpet
Three types: A, Fine pearl carpets(there is pearl powder on surface and it's smooth and delicate) B, Piece pearl carpets(there are particles and the surface color is more bright and glossy) C. Glazing pearl carpets( put a layer of glue on the original surface, the surface is smooth and drops chip)
Q: MY child dumped some nail polish on a rug in her room-it has light colors-any suggestions how to get it out?
It depends on what type of rug it is but most of the time anything that you can get fingernail polish out with will take the color out in the rug. Call a car detail shop and ask them if they will take a look. My husband owns a detail shop where we live and people even bring this type of thing in for him to work on.
Q: The carpet is wet and musty. How do you remove it?
The carpet has a musty treatment:First: first, disinfect the houseSecond: ventilation to the house, keep the house air circulation, is conducive to musty smell evaporate;Third: if you can bask in the sun, as far as possible to let the sun into the house, the sun has a strong bactericidal ability;Fourth: if you don't feel well, you can spray some air freshener.Fifth: you can use Xinyuan carpet musty available for carpet deodorant, musty, achieve immediate results;
Q: My Condo is 624 sq.ft., and I plan to remodel, and remove old carpet flooring, and replace.
Firstly i dont know how they can justify selling them to you, they sound tight. A carpet has a five year life span,(this is a general guideline) so i would find out how long they have been in there, and they cannot charge you for this time while they have been in there as you were not occupying the property, and they cannot expect you to pay the same amount as it would for you to recarpet the whole property. say they have been in thier three years, this would mean the carpets have a two year life left. i suggest going to a carpet shop with the measurements and getting a quote and then divide that by five, and if they have been in there 3 years offer them 2/5ths of the price the carpet shop quote you. the reason i am saying do it like this is because i work in a letting/estate agents, and this is how we resolve issues with security deposits if the landlord wants to claim for carpet damages. Hope it heps you
Q: I dropped my hot iron on my carpet. It left an iron burn mark on my brand new carpet. Do I need to replace the entire carpet? Or is there a solution to this?
Yes there is a solution~Buy an area rug and cover it! Or if your really brave and have some extra carpet left over, take a utility knife and cut the area of material out that was burned. Use the area of carpet you cut out as your 'template to cut the new piece of rug out. Hot glue the new piece in place. Purchase a good quality glue stick at your local hardware store (not the craft quality glue sticks). Also check with your carpet installer, they will also do the repair by removing the spot and bond it in place.
Q: How to prevent the carpet from shedding wool?
shedding wool is inevitable, you can buy a new one or stick the wool with scotch tape.
