Q: If i were to lift a classic car. 1 do you do this by putting the car on a truck frame? what truck frame should i use. i heard that the blazers have a very simular wheel base, verify anyone?2 is there anyway i could register it after wrds when its all over. i mean like is there hope it could be street legal3 did you do this? see it in person or just a car and truck guy?
The easies way to do it is by putting the body on a truck frame. some things to consider when selecting vehicle are total length(you need a frame close to the length of the original), is the wheelbase close?(otherwise you will either have to cut fenders or move axles), where are the body mounts in relation to the car?(new ones will have to be welded in most cases) is the width of the frame close?( you don't want a frame wider than the car) Yes it is possible to register afterwards. the dmv will want the title from both vehicles and a list of all parts and expenses so they can calculate a value for registration expenses. so save reciepts. last they will do a complete safety inspection.(horn, headlights, tail lights, turn signals, windshield wipers, mudflaps if needed, seatbelts, parking brake.) I have seen it personally and am also a mechanic. it will be a serious undertaking but it is completely possible
Q: Two-column lift machine falls on its own
The first cylinder leaks
Q: In a hydraulic lift, the diameters of the pistons are 4.96 cm and 20.2 cm. A car weighing W 10.4 kN is to be lifted by the force of the large piston. (a) What force Fa must be applied to the small piston? (b) When the small piston is pushed in by 10.4 cm, how far is the car lifted? (c) Find the mechanical advantage of the lift, which is the ratio W/Fa.Any help would be appreciated. I‘m just looking to understand the problem!
The ratio of forces on each piston is proportional to the ratio of areas. So, if one piston has 3 times the diameter of another, it has 9 times the surface area, because the surface area of a circle goes as the square of diameter. Therefore, 1 N applied to the small piston generates 9 N of force at the large piston. However, the distance traveled by each piston goes as the INVERSE of the piston area. So, in my example, if you pushed the small piston down by 18 inches, the larger piston would move by only 2 inches (one ninth as far).
Q: first of all, the black cat superstition is true because i saw a black cat a couple days ago before this accident took place. basically i missed a turn, tried to make the turn and hit the curb pretty hard. i can stilll drive the car but the steering wheel is misaligned (its jerked towards the left). Brakes work fine, and no physical damage done to the car were done. It‘s only the steering that is problematic. How much would it cost to get it repaired, and how long would it take? I don‘t want to get ripped of. Thanks guys.
No one will know until the car is lifted up on a hoist and physiclaly inspected. But expect to have some damaged steering component(s) at the very least.
Q: Lift is the force that allows air crafts to fly along with gravity, drag and thrust. Do race cars have lift when the move on a race track?
lift is what they want to avoid.
Q: and can that thing I mentioned earlier be removed so that it becomes un-towable?
Does something on the truck touch the car? No. It uses a tractor beam pulled from a UFO. How the **** do you think a car gets pulled by a truck without anything touching?
Q: with the windmills sideways under the car so no one can see them inside of an open sided case?is there a car like this?good idea?
kinda like a hovercraft?
Q: Suzhou where to sell lift and four wheel positioning device
Now most of the direct to find manufacturers, the brand has a lot, I was bought in 2017 Tomahawk, the current use can also
Q: I had all 4 brake pads replaced yesterday. come home from class last night and realize there‘s a puddle in my parking spot. I left it alone, i‘m on crutches and it was dark. bad combination. anyway, so today i went out there to check it out. here‘s what i found: under side of my car is wet in a small area, and you can see little drips hanging on to it, I didn‘t get close enough to see where it was coming from, remember i‘m crippled right now. the whatever it is that‘s leaking is brown so if i narrowed it down correctly, that‘d make it either oil or brake fluid. It‘s dripping from the middle of the car for the most part, not near either one of the tires. it‘s in the front like i guess actually almost right in between my front tires. ANY info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks all you car buffs. I know a little, but not too much!!!xoxops- it‘s a 2002 monte carlo ss if that matters and its got about 88000 miles on it, sigh. it‘s my baby
NICE CAR!!! when the brake pads were replaced, did they bleed the brakes?? And did they put the reservoir cap back on tight? Lift the hood and look for fluid dripping from the reservoir. Probably did not bleed the brakes, (I don't), and if not, is it possible that you added fluid recently before you got the brake pads replaced? If you did, that would be too much fluid for the reservoir and will leak out, and run down on to the frame traveling to the lowest point before dripping, which is under the engine, in the center. Before you drive the car, check the brake fluid (make sure the cap is on), and if the person remembered to replace the cap, make sure the fluid is full. If not, don't drive the car until it is filled using DOT 3 brake fluid. Other options is you could have a hole in your brake line, but you car is too new, and the rubber lines at the wheels would most likely go bad first.
