Q:I was thinking about using a car jack, I only need to lift it up and level it up by putting more dirt under it. Any suggestions?
There are co 's that pump stuff under the slab to re level etc. It is not as simple as you think.I do not know in your country any contractors that do that
Q:The electromagnet also needs to lift the person from a bit less than 1 metre(or about 3 feet) away.
There was once a TV ad for torch batteries, where a pair of batteries powered an electromagnet and lifted a car. Does anyone remember it? It was real. The secret was in the design of the magnet, and its mating plate for lack of a more suitable word, but basically the magnet was made with a very large, very flat pole face. The plate was also carefully matched and also very flat. Thus the area of contact made up for the tiny electromagnetic field. The car was lifted in slings attached to the plate by the energised magnet. In the ad the car was hoisted a short distance off the ground, then someone pulled a battery, and it dropped. I remember reading a writeup on it, in an electronics magazine, it was a long time ago! I cannot recall what materials wer used for the magnet and plate. So yes, it can be done. The secret is mainly area of contact. Can you do it yourself? Well, you could try
Q:I have always liked the older American Muscle cars but never have known anything about them. When I am older I would like to own one. Witch had the power that will basicly lift the front end up, or have that amazing tourqe and high hp? I am just curious witch are the more popular cars that people want with the power in them? Thank you all.
Don't mess with brakes if you don't know what you're doing. It's NOT only YOU could die if you crash because you messed with your brake system!!!
Q:my friend said he had sand bags in his car and he flipped the switch for them and it went up and down like hydroulics. he said the guy who had it before him did it. i was wondering were i could buy them at online
Sand bags are DEAD WEIGHT. They are NOT adjustable, and don't lift anything. What your friend had were hydraulically adjustable shocks. They should be available through ANT auto parts store.
Q:Could Wings Lift a Smart Car? C Hillers Hornet Replaced Jet tip Blades with Self Propelled Wings! C Vids of Testing R/C version on Facebook!?
If wings are large enough, and there is adequate power, and that stability and control are correct, anything could me made to fly. That said, a Smart car is way too short to provide adequate moment arm for suitable pitch control.
Q:I got a lift home with a man in this beautiful big shiny Huge black car.I was SO impressed i was lost for words really so never mentioned how nice his car was.I didn‘t want to seem like i was gushing or trying to chat him up or something.Should i have just said it anyways what should i have told him. I was probably going to say sometimes silly anyways.like its like a ‘James Bond‘ car or something daft like this. What do you think?
Yes, I would have said oh WOW what a nice car, what kind is it? )
Q:I have a ‘07 Scion tC, and when it was new the hatchback lifted very easily when I opened it. Now it only opens about halfway before I have to push it up manually. I guess the mechanism that does the lifting needs cleaning or lubricating or re-pressurizing, but I‘m not sure if it‘s something I can do myself or if I‘d have to take it to a mechanic. How can I get it to lift like it did when it was new?
Buy new gas struts. Those are the little shock absorber looking rods on either side. They usually pop apart or off, and you put new ones in. Yes it might be a bit early for them to wear out, but car makers buy stuff like that on bid. The one who can supply them with a half million parts the cheapest is who the buy from. SO replacing them with a nice OEM aftermarket pair should make it better than new or at least as good as. If they wore out that fast they were likely pretty cheesy. Oiling these might work for a little while, but it can attack the seals and allow more of the charged gas to escape. It also makes dirt stick and that will wear out the seals too. SO just go buy a couple Easy Lift or other brand of replacement gas lift struts. Usually all you need is a screw driver to replace them. Its one of the easiest things to replace. Unless a hinge got warped this will work very well, and it will be like it was when the car was new. These went out pretty quick on GM cars, and the replacements seemed to last longer than the originals on my station wagon. They call those crossover SUVs now. Station Wagon is too uncool to sell in today's market. I played guitar in a band so it canceled out the uncool factor. All the use those lift struts got opening and closing that hatch back 15x a day or more they wore out pretty quick. I think they just pop off and a clip holds them on a little ball on the window and one on the car. I know it was fast and easy. I think it WAS under $30 too in 1986. That means its probably around $60 now for the pair. Ask the guy at the counter how to install them. It is really easy and will save you the cost of labor. You can also buy them on line and save some money. To me they are easier to replace than some wiper blades, so its an easy DIY fix.
Q:i am trying to find cruise trips that stops in venice but then after i want to drive my car in next location. if you know any cruise please tell me :) thanks
No - none. The olden passenger ships all took cars but very few modern cruise ships has a cargo hold large enough. So, you say, I am rich and I want to drive my own car, I like my car so much and I would like to drive it in Italy OK, at every port you would have to arrange for a crane to lift your car off and on again. Assume a minimum $ 1,000 charge for the crane. The car has to be cleared by customs in the first port and the appropriate fees paid. Since an imported car cannot be registered and insured unless a safety check is done, wait for a truck to pick up the car and drive it to a government test station. These are normally reserved one - three months in advance. Get your car certified. If that model and that engine/transmission combination don't have type designation AND EU safety approval AND EU pollution controls to start with, it goes right back on the ship. If it has sealed beam American type head lights, they will have to be replaced. Any red flashing light, like turning lights have to be modified to be yellow, to be allowed in Europe. Then, you can go to the licence bureau, prove that you have an EU driver's licence AND a permanent residence in the country of registration. Now pay for a year's registration and pick up your plates. With that in hand you call an insurance broker. They will verify your EU driver's record. If you have none, they will give you the same rate as a 16 year old kid. Very high. Enjoy your drive. Total cost and time. Many  and many weeks. Suggestion. If you really want to drive in Italy, which very few sane people do, just rent a car. Cost?  100 / day. Time? Five minutes. Now, if you live in EU, you can certainly bring your car in the cargo hold of the cruise ship, if they have one. The cost, Very high, still.
