Q:floor?
i would think... it'd vary because different gases have different densities.. so at the first floor you'd have a greater concentration of gases that are denser and at the second floor you would get a greater concentration of gases that are less dense, and so on.. :)
Q:Museum of the floor is not false
To see where you buy, buy what the floor, the floor I ridicule cans prostitutes Intuit Magic Guiwei Wei Xiang was not heard, it is recommended to buy well-known brand floor, at least the quality and aftermarket than some miscellaneous brand is better many.
Q:We think we should refinish the floors first, in case stain gets on the floorboards, but on the other hand, paint could get on the floors. Which is the bigger danger? Advice?
Okay, so if by floor boards you mean baseboards then I say refinish the floors first. You can do it in either order. But refinishing a floor is really messy and you are more than likely going to have to go back and re touch up your base boards... painting them once is hard enough. Just make sure after you do the floors and start painting that you keep a rag handy with mineral oil on it. You can buy glue remover for hardwood floors at any home improvement store (mineral oil) and wipe up any paint that gets on the floor. It wont hurt your floor I promise.
Q:I want to put laminate flooring in my room and its in a walk-out basement and it has the concrete showing! so I want to know if its going to be hot/cold in winter or in the summer? Thanks
Is it the wood laminate, like Pergo? I have it in my hall in a single story house. It's warmer than tile, but a little cooler than carpet. I think it feels great barefoot, actually! They put down some stuff underneath that kind of insulates it. Just don't do tile. I lived in a house with a walk-out basement that had tile, and it was freezing in the winter!!!
Q:when/why should terrazzo be installed on a floating floor?
Terrazzo should never be installed on a floating floor. It needs a firm base to start with. You can install floating floor over a terrazzo floor since its always a flat level floor.Install over it as long as you have exterior door height clearances. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar, I ve attended several installation seminars as well as installed a couple 100,000 s/f. GL
Q:We have a hydronic in-floor heating system in a slab subfloor that has an engineered wood floor glued on top without a seperating membrane in between. We like to change now to a tile floor. Trying to take the wood floor up we noticed this to be very piece meal like. That glue does not come off easy and I like to find out if anybody has any knowledge in this. Can I leave the wood floor in and install tile over it or do I lose too much heat? Any suggestions on how to remove the wood floor and glue? What probelms with either way?
There are 3 varieties of radiant warmth for flooring. First there is the electrical powered, additionally the water, yet there is likewise a product talked approximately as AirFloor which makes use of a multi-duct device it somewhat is poured into the concrete. those little community of ducts replaces the common duct device for the construction. the two way you bypass, moisture should not be a difficulty. while you're apprehensive with regard to the resinous coating, bypass with a real polished concrete. this is going to final invariably and is maintenance unfastened. as long as a results of fact the construction is stored at a relentless temperature, sweating should not be a controversy. stable luck
Q:I live on the second floor and I want replace the carpet with wood or tile. A friend told me if the floor is not leveled, it cost a lot to level it. My question is: Could second floor be unleveled? I thought only first floors could be unleveled.
Second story floors can be and often are out of level. Even more important than levelness, though, is flatness. It is o.k. if your floor slopes a little. If it has dips and humps in it though, these will have to be adressed before new flooring is installed. If you install tile, a cement leveling compound can be used. If wood, the unevenness will need to be fixed structurally. 3/16 difference in a 6' span is the most unevenness allowable. If you have more detailed questions feel free to email.
Q:Is the color of the angle to be the same as the door or the floor? How to choose the color will look beautiful? More
Hello, the foot line can choose and household open sauce satin and other pimple advised the same sliding door can also choose the same color and the bathroom Oh. Depends on the design of the designer slightly If there is no designer's design, just by their own preferences slightly. But the general choice is to choose and door sets of color consistent. The following are some of the style of the application can refer to the European style is generally white; Chinese style to dark, mainly light-colored; simple style useful some new materials, such as stainless steel foot line.
Q:we bought a new house and a room had a cement floor and now my parents put floating floor over top. now we're starting to smell a musty smell and we have asked some people what to do and they said 1) paint cement with sealer then recover with floating floor ( remove floor first) 2) air exchanger 3) put vents on the floor when the windows are closed it doesn't smell but when the windows are open it really stinks so we know that it's under the floor and we are told that the cement is starting to sweat. my question: what do i do and what do i treat it with? thanks!
There should be plastic under the concrete. But the builder was probably too lazy or cheap or stupid to do that. So now the smell of damp earth will forever try to migrate through the floor. The perfect answer is to remove the floor and the concrete and lay down 3 mil plastic and repour concrete and relay the floor. Failing that, I like the 'seal the concrete' concept. Try to find a product that is a vapor barrier. The original BIN is a vapor barrier. With luck the smell will be sealed out also.
Q:My bro bought a house and some of the floors are not even. (He got no basement.) What can he do to make the floors straight without investing too much money?
get some stepping stones a 4 by 6 lay this under joist jack it up tell they all hit then cut a 4 by 6 to fit from stone to 4 by should work simple cheap quick
