- Q: i need some ironi hate taking pills.they are sick.
- No. It was buried by the natural carbon cycle over many thousands of years. We dig it up and burn it, real fast. That's a stupid thing to do, given what we now know. Someday our children will curse us for having been so stupid. Especially when we were warned by the best scientists in the world.
- Q: Water that has trickled through copper bearing ore will have the characteristic color of copper solutions. One method used to recover the copper dissolved in such streams is to place scrap iron in wide shallow sections of the stream. See if you can design an experiment to recover the remaining copper left in the copper chloride solution from this experiment.I don‘t understand this. Why is scrap iron used. How and what experiment am I supposed to come up with
- Iron is more reactive than copper, so it will displace copper from solution. (The iron dissolves into the solution, and the copper precipitates out.) You could try plain steel wool (without built-in soap) as a source of the iron for this experiment. It has lots of surface area, so the iron will react more quickly than, say, the iron in a nail.
- Q: Story: When Tony has enter the future of Gotham City (Time Travel). Iron Man needs help with Bruce to upgrade his armor but Terry attack Tony for breaking and entering the Batcave.Who would win and why?
- Iron Man. His tech is a lot more advanced than Terry's and he's more powerful.
- Q: Everyone talks about how iron deficiency tablets works, but how do they work?
- Iron in general is absorb when taken with Vitamin C and Potassium. Those two are a must if you want to absorb iron.
- Q: What is iron III, and how does it combine with polyatomic ions? For example, what would be the chemical formula for the combination of iron III and C2H3O2- (acetate)?
- Iron (III) is Fe+3 Fe+3 combines with -3 ions 1:1,. Fe PO4 Fe+3 combines with -2 ions , 2:3 Fe2O3 Fe+3 combinnes with -1 ion , 1:3 . Fe (C2H3O2)3
- Q: Apparently i need more iron in my diet, what foods do you suggest i eat?I know there is Iron in fish.but i hate fish.maybe ill grab a cowl of cereal i am sure there is iron in cereal but prolly not nearly the recommended daily amount.what foods do you suggest? maybe something taste :)
- well the best source of iron is red meat, though you can also get iron from some vegetables like broccoli and bok choy. these vegetables also contain vitamin C which helps in the absorption of iron. which would mean that if you have a glass of orange juice (which is high in vitamin C) with your cereal in the morning it will help your body absorb more iron. and also you could take a iron supplament, but all of the above options should work fine though too :)
- Q: the 4 groups of iron bearing minerals?
- Groups of iron bearing minerals: 1) Oxides iron(II) oxide, wüstite (FeO) iron(II,III) oxide, magnetite (Fe3O4) iron(III) oxide (Fe2O3) - alpha phase, hematite (α-Fe2O3) - beta phase, (β-Fe2O3) - gamma phase, maghemite (γ-Fe2O3) - epsilon phase, (ε-Fe2O3) 2) Hydroxides -iron(II) hydroxide (Fe(OH)2) - iron(III) hydroxide (Fe(OH)3), (bernalite) 3) Oxide/hydroxides - iron(III) oxide-hydroxide goethite (α-FeOOH), akaganéite (β-FeOOH), lepidocrocite (γ-FeOOH), feroxyhyte (δ-FeOOH), 4) iron-sulfide Fe(II) - chemical compound of iron and sulfur Pyrrhotite Greigite Troilite The formation of these inorganic compounds initially involves the aerobic weathering of primary rocks in terrestrial and marine systems. This process might be followed by redistribution between compartments (e.g., hydrosphere and lithosphere) and may involve mechanical transport by wind and/or water. Iron-metabolizing microorganisms, which catalyze the oxidation or reduction of iron, also play a significant role in the cycling of iron in the environment and between compartments.
- Q: When iron is removed from its ore or oxide, the carbon used reacts with oxygen to leave the iron alone, but why doesn‘t it react with the iron? (since the iron is more reactive than oxygen) I asked this question in science class and no one knew the answer, my teacher told them to look it up and I wanna know why.Thank you :)
- It is possible to get iron and carbon to react to form a compound called iron carbide, Fe3C under the right conditions, but in the furnace used to produce iron metal the active agent is primarily carbon monoxide. The carbon monoxide is more chemically active than carbon, and reacts with the iron first in this reaction.Fe2O3 + 3CO 2Fe + 3 CO2 The carbon monoxide is a better reducing agent (electron donor) than carbon. The carbon monoxide is produced by limiting the amount of oxygen that reacts with the hot carbon in the furnace, producing CO instead of CO2
- Q: is it true that during the war people used to put iron nails into apples to increase the iron content and then eat the apples??
- the mans takes the nails and then the mans puts the nails in the apples then the mans takes the apples with the nails and eats the apples with the nails and has the iron from the nails in the apple in the belly of the mans. and the leads nails thems noone uses thems if they are made out of lead the nails then the lead is bendy in the nails and the nails are bendy. that's why the mens always gets the iron nails for the things because the bendy nails are bad.
