Q: Conair Spiraling Iron
It sounds like you have watter hammer. Probably the best way to cure this is to drain your home's plumbing system and when it is fully drained, re-open the main valve. What happened was probably the air chambers in your home's plumbing system have become watter logged, rendering them useless. This simple procedure should fix the problem. If this does not work, it's best to contact a plumber. Some homes were built without air chambers, and the plumber can install pressure arrestors which should control the problem. Chances are, this should not cost too much money. Hope this helps.
Q: I bought prenatal vitamins (Nature Made) that are high in folic acid (800 mcg), iron (27 mg) and zinc. I heard from somewhere that it is not good to take prenatal vitamins that have too much iron. Is that true? Is 27 mg of iron too much? If it is too much, what should be the maximum dosage of iron a day?
if they are prenatal vitamins then that is what they are designed for they should be fine until you're doctor can prescribe a vitamin that he or she feels is right for you you will be tested to see if you are anemic and then they will decide how much iron you need it varies I was anemic during my first pregnancy and am not this time so good for you on getting vitamins in the first place that is a great start!! btw too much iron can cause constipation ugh!! have a great pregnancy
Q: been taking iron supplements individual for a couple years now and read some where that multivitamins that contain iron, zinc, potassium can stain teeth? never heard of such a thing. but mostly liquid iron?thanks

Q: I have to take 325mgs 3 times a day due to low iron. What can i expect?
Too much iron can form iron plaque on your artery walls and clog them up like cholesterol. Hopefully 3 times 325 mgs a day is not enough to result in an iron overload and hopefully your arteries will not get clogged up with iron plaque.
Q: My iron was 32 on a recent blood test and I looked back and last year at this time it was 146. my hemoglobin and hematocrit are within normal limits and when I got the blood test I had been off my period for about 2 weeks (I have moderate periods that last about 3 days and I only bleed heavy for the first day) should I be concerned? I asked a doctor that I work with and he said because I am a menstuating woman it is ok. I am just worried about the drop from last year to this year. anyone. thanks in advance for your answers.
Perhaps you need more vitamin C to help absorb more iron. Most nuts contain plenty of iron and liver even more. Red meat is a good source of readily absorbable iron and there is also a reasonable amount of iron in bread, cereals and muesli. Oysters and mussels are also rich in iron. Spinach and broccoli contain some iron as well.
Q: Does meat, chicken, pork and hamburger have Iron? What about Eggs? Or a salad?
Red meat is a good source; although salad may be iron-poor, spinach is iron-rich, so a spinach salad is helpful. While Cal King says you can't just eat iron powder, the fact is that you can add significant iron to your diet by cooking in an iron frying pan, if the food you're cooking is fairly acidic (chili, tomato sauce, scrambled eggs). Agree with David's assertion that you need vitamin C (OJ, grapefruit, tomatoes, etc.) to process iron.
Q: Due to my miscarriage nearly a month ago at 4 months i was given Iron tablets to take as i had very low bp and lost alot of blood, anyway i have to take these iron tablets for 6 weeks but i‘ve already been on them for 8 is it ok to take Vitamin C supplement tablets with em also im trying to give up smoking and wondering if the patches are ok to use as we are tring for another baby very soon!!!
Vitamin C is very good to take with Iron. Vitamin C helps your body absorb the iron. (But don't take you iron pill with a big glass of milk, because calcium slows iron absorbtion.) If you are planning on another baby, take folic acid too. Iron, Vitamin C, and folic acid.that should help you out. :) Good luck.

Q: do you use the vertical steam iron or the traditional press iron?
Press irons work best and they have all the necessary settings to get clothes wrinkle free.
Q: What are some plant processes that involve iron? or how do plant cells use iron?
Plants use inorganic minerals for nutrition, whether grown in the field or in a container. Iron is one of the micro nutrients required by the plants. Iron is necessary for many enzyme functions and as a catalyst for the synthesis of chlorophyll. It is essential for the young growing parts of plants. Deficiencies are pale leaf color of young leaves followed by yellowing of leaves and large veins. Iron is lost by leaching and is held in the lower portions of the soil structure. Under conditions of high pH (alkaline) iron is rendered unavailable to plants. When soils are alkaline, iron may be abundant but unavailable. Applications of an acid nutrient formula containing iron chelates, held in soluble form, should correct the problem.
