Q: I have an iron deficiency in my blood and I need to find some good sources of iron. Any suggestions?
There are plenty of foods that have Iron such as: Red Meat Dark Leafy Greens such as Spinach and Collard Egg Yolks Dried Fruit Mollusks such as Oysters, Clams and Mussels Artichoke's beans and lentils Liver and poultry Giblets Your body actually will inhibit the absorption of Iron if you consume frequently or pair your foods with things like Red Wine, Tea, Whole Grains, Bran and Soy products. Some things that you can eat to help the absorption of iron are Fruits such as Oranges, Strawberries, Cantaloupe, etc. White Wine, red Meat and, many vegetables are helpful as well. But depending on your life style it may be just as easy to take a supplement but be sure to take any Iron tablets with food or your sure to upset your stomach/
Q: can someone please tell me what food are rich in iron ?
Liver is the very best! but if your anything like me (i lack iron and get tired due to it easly) you cant stand liver and its yucky taste i do ovoltine its more then packed full of what i need for iron everyday and taste great, tuna has lots, as well try that out
Q: anymore? what are most of the iron products?
Most iron is converted to steel. Iron is usually too britttle and less consistent (less homogeneous) than steel for use in most applications. The other common uses of iron are cast iron for engine blocks and ductile iron for water and sewer piping. It is less prone to rusting than steel when installed in the ground although protective coatings will extend the useful life. Iron is also used in other industrial applications which would not be familiar to most consumers- pump volutes and blower housings. Iron is not used for wire because iron wire would not be bendable or shapeable. It is brittle and would most likely break during the installation.
Q: Zinc reacts with Iron (III) Chloride yielding Zinc Chloride plus Iron precipitate.I dont know what the formula for iron precipitate is.The rest is:Zn+FeCl3----gt;ZnCl2+Iron Precipitate
Iron precipitate can have a number of formulas. It would be any salt of iron that is insoluble in water. If you're looking at a chemical equation, it should have a negative ion formed somehow that would react with the iron. Iron can precipitate all by ifself; it doesn't have to form a salt as was described above. In this case, I think the precipitate is simply iron itself (Fe). 3 Zn + 2 FeCl3 --- 3 ZnCl2 + 2 Fe
Q: Like mostly every town in Upstate New York, we get well water. This means that some people have iron in their water, and some people have sulfur, which I‘m glad I don‘t have, because it smells like rotten eggs.Well, anyway, I have iron in my water. It doesn‘t smell or anything, you can‘t even notice you have it, really. So, what does iron do to your hair and your skin? I‘m very curious.
Iron usually occurs with manganese in water. Some iron and manganese is fine. Excessive amounts typically cause staining of clothes and encourage the growth of iron bacteria, which impart a foul taste and odor to the water. Typically, iron should not exceed 0.3 mg/L and manganese 0.05 mg/L in drinking water.
Q: How can the ductile iron pipe be punched?
Ball milled cast iron pipes can be opened and the opening size depends on the main pipe. For example, the main pipeline is DN100, diameter 118 milling pipe, can open the 100mm maximum aperture (with aperture opening), commonly used manual opening now the minimum 20mm, maximum 600mm, maximum 800mm hydraulic hole, open hole drilling machine dedicated
Q: why does tin can when scratched rust much quicker than an iron can coated with zinc (galvanised) when it becomes scratched ?
I am not sure that it does. Once exposed (in my opinion) iron will rust at the same rate given all else being equal like moisture in the air. I suspect that the scratch on the tin coated instance has less thickness of tin through which to penetrate compared to the thickness of a coating of zinc which despite being scratched has not yet penetrated all the way in to the iron.
Q: How was the Vitamin Iron discovered?
Iron is not a vitamin, it's a mineral. EDIT: Iron as a metal was being used for pottery as far back as 3500BC - 4000BC. How it was discovered is probably relegated to forgotten history.
